When Front Desk Attitude Ruins Your Stay

This is my second stay in 2 months.
As a Platinum IHG, I am entitled a room upgrade if available.
Upon check in, I asked the Front Desk employee about the room upgrade status, and he confirmed that my room has been upgraded.
Entering my room #1015, I noticed that I have not been upgraded. I went back to the same employee, and he claimed that my original booking was for a Queen Room while he provided a King Room. I showed him my original booking confirmation with King Bed, so he said that the upgrade was to a Jacuzzi Room. Going back to my room, there was no Jacuzzi, Discussing the issue with the same employee, he claimed that no suites were available. The IHG showed available suites.
The following day, I talked to another Front Desk employee, and my room has been upgraded by end of the day.
Although the room category itself is not my major issue, the attitude of the Front Desk employee ruined my stay.
