Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by A little outdated This property was a little lacking in the quality that I come to expect from IHG properties. The pool and fitness center were undergoing renovations. The beds were fairly uncomfortable for an IHG property. Still a fine value for what I expect from IHG but this property in particular is outdated. I would stay at the Candlewood Suites across the street from this property in the future. April 23, 2015
Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Depends on the floor I have stayed at the hotel once before. The first visit was good. The room was clean and everything was as it should be. I was located on the 4th floor. The second visit i had an awful experience. The room appeared unkept. I awoke the next morning with my luggage covered in ants. Room was not clean. Other co-workers had mixed experiences based on floor location. It seems the fourth floor is the place to stay. April 22, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Downhill slide Ten-twelve years ago I stayed at this hotel for weeks at a time, and encouraged a half-dozen of my associates to do the same. Service, ambience, staff and management, and value were above average. And now---the facility has deteriorated, not even a functioning dining room, bathrooms needing a flashlight to navigate, excessive noise from the highway, etc., a very distressing experience---with one exception: there are still staff members who walk the extra mile to try and please the guests. A small number of my middle-management employees are destined to spend varying segments of time in Joplin during the next 4 to 5 months---but not at the the Holiday Inn. April 21, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Dont judge a book by it's cover From the outside of the hotel it looks new and inviting. On the inside it was another story. The room was small with small undersized beds. The bathroom looked as if it had not been used nor cleaned in some time. The towles were thin and there were only 2 bath towles....for a family of 4 people that did not work very well. It almost seemed like we were on the 'older side' of the hotel that was hidden by a new fresh looking side. April 20, 2015
