Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Experience "exceptional customer service" The front desk associate greeted me with a warm welcome. During my check in process, I shared with Devon that I was in town for a funeral and that it had been a long day. It was the cocktail hour at the hotel and I commented, how I could really enjoy a glass of wine. Unfortunately, for me I had to run out to meet a few relatives. Devon offered to place wine in the mini frig in my room. I declined, but I thought that was really kind of him to make that offer. When I returned to the hotel later that night. I found the room accommodations to be warm and inviting. The bed was so comfortable. I woke the next day rested and refreshed. My sister, Barbara, and I rushed downstairs to the continental breakfast at 10:30 a.m. We met Toni the concierge in the breakfast area. My sister and I shared that we were fueling up for our six hour drive to Kansas City. Toni shared that additional breakfast items were available if we desired. To my delight, Toni was very patient and friendly and encourage my sister and I to order a hot breakfast item. Our meal arrived and I was delighted. I believe that a meal should arouse as many senses as possible. I was captivated with the presentation. Meals served on white plates allows the food item(s) to speak. And the meal said “look at me”. Our build your own omelet with breakfast potatoes was placed on a square white plate with kale and fresh fruit garnish. The vegetable's color in my omelet appeared and tasted as though they were just picked from the garden and prepared especially for me. We both commented on how good the food looked. As we took the first bit of our omelet, we both said, "delicious" with a slow drawl. Next, the breakfast potatoes. The potatoes were seasoned to perfection. My sister, Barbara and I shared an order of pancakes. As I was enjoying the meal, I glanced at the pancakes. The two (2) stake of pancakes was plated with a small bowl for the syrup, garnished with kale and fresh fruit, and sprinkled with powder sugar. And, yes, I noticed that the pancakes, garnish and syrup bowl (only) were lightly dusted with the powder sugar and afterwards the syrup was added to the bowl. The pancakes were perfect. Barbara and I raved about the meal so much that Toni shared our comments with Jerry, the cook. We were able to personally thank Jerry for the superb meal. If I had to summarize my experience with one (1) word, it would be Wow! My hat is off to management for assembling a team that provided my sister and I an “exceptional customer service” experience. Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great Hotel The hotel was very clean, modern and near lots of amenities. I booked at the last minute to stay with our basketball team. The staff were accommodating and I was able to get the room I needed for a good price including breakfast. The breakfast buffet was great (the eggs were a little runny but I think they were powdered eggs) other than that, the food was great and the service was wonderful. A big thank you to the breakfast staff! The room was nice. The only problem was the faucet in the bathroom sink made noise when it was turned on. I enjoyed my stay! April 9, 2015
