Good Hotel, will be better once refurbishments are finished. Staff were very helpful as daughter a wheelchair user and we were able to use service lift when the others malfunctioned. Yes, you pay for use of pool etc, this is stated on the website.

After a poor start, with a Room being marked clean, when it was still used and dirty, the Staff could not have done more to turn this disappointment around and did so with aplomb ! Many thanks to all the Staff we interacted with ~ You made it a really enjoyable stay. This is so rewarding as things do go wrong, however it's the way these unexpected problems are dealt with that make all the difference !
The Hotel was also under Refurbishment during our visit, but we were not inconvenienced in any way whatsoever, by these operations.
It was a very good overall experience, apart from the initial disappointment and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay from start to finish.
Well done H/Inn-Kings Cross Bloomsbury.

We have stayed here several times before but this time was very disappointing. We are platinum members and that was not acknowledged on check in and wasn't offered the usual drink or points. We paid for an exec room but when we got to the room there wasn't the upgraded toiletries and no bathrobe neither. The bath had hairs from the previous person in the bath. The only positive about the stay was the bed was comfortable, however the road our room looked onto was extremely noisy and unfortunately it was in an area where the construction was taking place so we had no chance of having a lie in as the drilling woke us. Reception is where a restaurant used to be and the doors are wedged open allowing people to smoke in the entrance so smoke wafts in and it was very strong when we checked in and checked out. Upon check out we were not even asked how our stay was. I can't see us returning to this hotel any time soon.
