The hotel has been undergoing remodeling the last 3 times I stayed there, and it's still not a nice place. Bad carpet, wall coverings, plumbing fixtures, room service trays left in the halls all day. I stayed at 4 Holiday Inns last week, 3 were just fantastic, this one was bad and the most expensive. March 9, 2013

When I got there, the fellow behind the desk acknowledged me, got my name, checked me in, and then extended his hand to thank me for being a Priority Club member. Not sure I've had that happen before and, I'll tell you, it's very refreshing to see that enthusiasm and warmth. Didn't like the bar. Smokers can smoke inside. Bartenders not very personable or engaging. Beer was cold, limes were freakishly small. I'd want to go back to see my friends at the front desk. You can't pay enough for that sort of goodwill. Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Not Accommodating And Parking Lot Break In As a frequent Priority Club stayer and a platinum member I expected more from a Holiday Inn. When I arrived I was place in a room with 2 full sized beds. I had reserved a king size bed and was staying with another person and we were given a room we had not reserved. We were told there were no other options available. We then wanted to eat after a long day of traveling and went downstairs to the restaurant. They were not seating anyone but told us the bar was open for dining. When we walked into the bar it was full of smoke and we could not stand it. We decided to order room service instead. After getting back to our room I received a phone call saying they could only accept cash (could not accept credit card or charge it to the room). I was on a long journey and did not have cash with me so I decided to decline the service. Shortly after I received a phone call that it could be charged to my room and that the food would be up shortly. The food wasn't anything special. Overnight a car window was busted and things were stolen even though the parking lot was well-lit. I would never stay here again and would not recommend this place to others. February 7, 2013

I was offered the hotel MASTER swipe key as my room key due to a cheap swipe key lock malfunction. Platinum member privilege? "WHATS IN YOUR ROOM"? I refused the key! January 22, 2013

The bed was comfortable and the staff so accommodating that I felt right at home. I'm looking forward to returning, especially when the remodeling is complete. January 16, 2013

However, the service in the cafe for breakfast is poor. Server not very friendly and could care less on how many tables are dirty and not available. Very happy, with my experience stay at this hotel, I travel a lot due to my job, which requires staying in many hotels, mainly holiday inn, and they all have great service, however I Want to really compliment the staff at this facility, for their excellent service the nice xmas tree and xmas music was very relaxing thanks for making us feel at home while staying there,the bar and the restaurant facilities are also excellent and very convenient, thank you and looking forward to my next visit to mobil and stay at this hotel.merry xmas and a happy new year. Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Maintenance needed Stayed in Dec and had toilet running all night. Tried to fix it myself at 2:00 AM but gave up. Also air conditioner with Fan set to On did not run consistently so toilet noise was more prominent. Told staff in morning and got "sorry about that". No offer to make up for it or anything else. Will stay at Holiday Inn Express a few miles away next time. December 10, 2012

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Do Not Disturb I ask for a late checkout (2:00). I'm a Platnum member. At 12:00 with a "DO NOT DISTURB" on the door housekeeping KNOCKED on door. I told them I requested Late checkout 2:00 At 1:57pm housekeeping knocked and then entered room using their key. I was pressured to leave the hotel. I stayed 6 nights of a planned two week stay, but had to leave due to a family surgery. I will never go back to this hotel again. I will be working in Mobile again. Found a dead cock roach in hallway to diner. The sink was seperated from the countertop. Looks nice from the outside but not from inside. November 12, 2012
Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Excellent Staff and Service, Clean & Friendly Hotel Our family of three stayed at this hotel for four nights in October 2012, and we were greeted by the friendly staff each and every time we came and went. The friendly front desk staff made sure that we were happy with our stay, and attended to our every need. The room was clean and comfortable - great to come back to in the evenings. I mistakenly left some personal items in the room and didn't realize it until I was back home, several states away. The hotel staff went out of their way to ensure I got my things back quickly via mail. I will stay at this hotel again, without a doubt, when we're back in Mobile. November 10, 2012
