Front desk employees were helpful and nice. The hotel was clean and enjoy your lobby. The beds were to high to get into if you were a older person. On the holiday Monday were restaurant closed 9am, the sign was not very clean on the time of serving. The white man was rude and not very friendly. The sign needs to be clear and on the glass door not off to the side. That morning you had a lot of guests that wanted breakfast but was close. Over all we had a great time and will return some day. The tall, dark hair lady at front desk was very helpful and know who we were. I like people who remembers who you are. Thanks again

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Rdqueen All updated. Would return. Close to many things.
Booked a large group months before the renovations were completed. We had a reduced group room rate, much lower than the current rates posted. This is a great area, close to the hospital, the Parthenon/Park, restaurants, and a quick shuttle/taxi to downtown. Cold a/c, very clean, well decorated. Valet parking guys were awesome to our group of over 30 mcycles/riders. New rules are $20 parking fee for valet service in the lot in front of the building. Free for all others to park in back of the building. I am sure the valets were not up to or willing to park our mcycles. No fault of theirs. Weeks before check-in we were told that we wouldn't be charged the $20 fee, especially if we'd make every effort to put several bikes in 1 park spot. On arrival we started pulling in and the valets didn't expect us. To their credit, they did allow us to stay in the front lot. Check-in at 4pm ...we got there just after. Rooms not clean yet so several people sit and wait in the lobby. When made the reservation months before, did ask for a lower level room without much walking due to mobility probs with 1 member. Did ask again while trying to check in and the clerk just looked stunned, "Yes, we will try." At 430p called up to the front desk by another clerk who checked us in and handed us keys to 910. I said nothing, seem futile. She did tell me that we'd have to move our bikes #we didn't# to the parking in the back and handed me a hangtag #for a bike? it was raining off and on# ...then said 'Oh forget about the tag.' Quite a walk from the elevator. The room was very nice, beds comfortable, a/c cold, clean clean clean, wifi great, nicely decorated. Small fridge and micro, flat screen tv. Nice view of the Parthenon across the street in the Park ...lol. The kicker was hearing a rapping on our door the next day, just before 8am. It was a housekeeping person with a clipboard ...no cleaning cart, checking to see if we'd gone yet. Uh no, we'd just been in for 15hrs or so. Didn't put up a don't disturb hanger as we didn't want to deter others in our group from visiting us. No prob really. Saw this same clipboard lady strolling the hallway making notes ...wish they'd have gotten her/her crew onto cleaning rooms that were open without delay. I imagine housekeeping has their hands full working here. Again, kudos to the parking guys! All really just small glitches to a very nice stay.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Fredjchamberlain Good location, good parking shuttle bus could be improved
This hotel is in a good location for downtown with a very large car park. The buffet breakfast could be better only a limited hot selection and no fruit juice. The down town shuttle bus is great but should be changed, it operates like a personal chauffeur service which suits some people but means you can not rely on times. The receptions says it runs every 15 minutes but if it's been dropping people off the wait can be 45 minutes. If it's a hotel shuttle it should run on a fixed time from hotel to a couple of places down town, then I f people want to go to other locations they could take a taxi from the downtown area. But it's still a good free service and the hotel is like new well decorated, light and spacious rooms, it's a great place to stay without the noise from downtown.
