Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by You must stay here if taking ferry. One of two dinners great. Flounder francaisse was delicious. Pork loin dry and hard. I lost my flounder dinner to girlfriend. The room was big, roomy and very comfortable. Had to catch a Saturday 7am ferry to Long Island and breakfast starts at 7. Wait staff opened a little early and packed muffins and jam for both of us to take on the ferry. Unbelievable!!!!! This is a must-stay hotel. April 16, 2015

Although I did not eat in the restaurant during this stay, I have enjoyed it in the past. Everything is always in good working condition. The bed is GREAT! April 8, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by March Stay_BASIC I am very happy overall. Staffing the bar and restaurant had major snafu on April 2 at dinner time with inadequate wait and bartender staff. Over 1 hour wait for food. Off duty bartender came in to help with waitressing. Bartender tried to do both. Another lady jumped in to help too. But bar and restaurant service needs to improve. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Hotel Restaurant brings down the experience The hotel its self was good. I spend a lot of time in HI and HI Express's. Check in staff were very professional. Rooms were clean and modern. Our experience at the restaurant was another story. The bartender added a drink to our initial tab that we didn't order and also over charged our guests for two glasses of wine. We were not given a Itemized copy of the bill to check against (not good). I also asked if I could charge the bill to my room. The bartender told me it would be at least $10 to do this. He said they are not affiliated with the hotel? That just didn't seem right to me. When I paid the bar tab my wife asked me why it was so expensive. Then she looked and our bill was still on the monitor of the POS. She could see the mistake. When we questioned him about this he said it was not our bill. We had to convince him he was wrong it was clearly our bill. He could not figure out how to credit us back so he gave us the money for the 1 drink out of his tip jar. This was all over one round of four drinks for four people. (not a good start) $12.00 over charge for two draft beers and two house wines. Then we went to our table. The atmosphere was nice and the menu looked good. We had a few more drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The service was a bit slow but not unacceptable. The food was prepared nicely. The portions were good and the food was enjoyed. It was not until the end of the meal that we found out we were overcharged for the wine. When we received our final bill we saw the same wine we had at the bar was now $3 less per glass. We did not ask for our money back. We chalked it up to incompetence or possibly dishonesty. After dinner I went to the front desk to ask about the added cost to charge a restaurant bill to my room. The lady at the counter told us there is no such policy. April 2, 2015
