I always have a pleasant stay at this Holiday Inn. I highly recommend it. The staff is friendly and quick to respond to any issues. Although I did not eat in the restaurant during this stay, I have enjoyed it in the past. Everything is always in good working condition.
The bed is GREAT!

I am very happy overall. Staffing the bar and restaurant had major snafu on April 2 at dinner time with inadequate wait and bartender staff. Over 1 hour wait for food. Off duty bartender came in to help with waitressing. Bartender tried to do both. Another lady jumped in to help too. But bar and restaurant service needs to improve.

FOR WHAT I NEEDED, THIS HOTEL WAS GREAT....MY BUSINESS TOOK ME INTO NEW LONDON AND THE SURROUNDING AREA, AND THIS LOCATION WAS PERFECT. i USED TO STAY HERE WHEN IT WAS THE PREVIOUS NAMED HOTEL, BUT THAT PLACE WAS A DUMP AND i WOULD TRAVEL OUT OF THE AREA FOR MY HOTEL.

The hotel its self was good. I spend a lot of time in HI and HI Express's. Check in staff were very professional. Rooms were clean and modern.
Our experience at the restaurant was another story.
The bartender added a drink to our initial tab that we didn't order and also over charged our guests for two glasses of wine. We were not given a Itemized copy of the bill to check against (not good). I also asked if I could charge the bill to my room. The bartender told me it would be at least $10 to do this. He said they are not affiliated with the hotel? That just didn't seem right to me. When I paid the bar tab my wife asked me why it was so expensive. Then she looked and our bill was still on the monitor of the POS. She could see the mistake. When we questioned him about this he said it was not our bill. We had to convince him he was wrong it was clearly our bill. He could not figure out how to credit us back so he gave us the money for the 1 drink out of his tip jar. This was all over one round of four drinks for four people. (not a good start) $12.00 over charge for two draft beers and two house wines.
Then we went to our table. The atmosphere was nice and the menu looked good. We had a few more drinks, appetizers, and entrees. The service was a bit slow but not unacceptable. The food was prepared nicely. The portions were good and the food was enjoyed.
It was not until the end of the meal that we found out we were overcharged for the wine. When we received our final bill we saw the same wine we had at the bar was now $3 less per glass. We did not ask for our money back. We chalked it up to incompetence or possibly dishonesty. After dinner I went to the front desk to ask about the added cost to charge a restaurant bill to my room. The lady at the counter told us there is no such policy.

This was our first visit to this Holiday Inn, and would definitely use it again. All staff that we came in contact with (front desk, cleaning lady, and manager), could not of been any more attentive. It was a pleasure.

The sales staff (Louise) was very helpful and assisted with all of my needs and answer all my questions. The cleaning staff, front desk staff, and shuttle drivers were extremely helpful, courteous and friendly.
The room had ample space and was clean. I also like the design and décor of the room . Ie. plug available on light fixtures, size of the television, one unit that included refrigerator, microwave and drawers. comfortable bed and pillows.
There was only one thing that I was not as satisfied during my visit and it had nothing to do with the hotel but with the Restaurant located on the property. The food was really good, price a little high but worth it as the quality of the food was excellent. The welcoming staff member was not so pleasant and they closed the kitchen a hour before their closing time. We were not allowed to order additional food or desserts. The waiter was pleasant and was sorry he couldn't help us.

This was the first time I have stayed at a Holiday Inn. The customer service I received and the room provided showedthat Holiday Inn cares about the traveling customer.
