Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 Disappointed The location was ideal for our visit which required us to travel back and forth between the hotel and Lincoln Center. This was the main reason for choosing this location. This was not the best Holiday Inn experience. If not for the location, we would not return to this particular Holiday Inn based on other criteria. We usually stay at Express locations. We really missed the breakfast and other perks of the Express. There was trash in our room when we checked in. The same dirty cup was in the hallway for our entire 4 day stay. We arrived in NYC after a 14 hour car ride in the rain and hoped to get something quick to eat in the bar. After sitting for a time without being served, we opted to head out into the rain and unknown area to look for other food options. The atmosphere (decor etc...) really needs some updating. A bit outdated and tired looking. The elevators did not seem to be in great shape. As we hit the higher floors, the rattling was disconcerting. As a platinum level member, we expected more. Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by New York 57th St. Holiday Inn This hotel location is excellent. Hotel room needs better window curtain, too much light pass through room window. We were not able to sleep properly. The hotel bed are old and without any cushion. For the hotel room price, this location needs to improve the room to offer comfort to the guesses. June 30, 2015

The lobby was clean and well decorated, no odors in the lobby or the room. I plan to stay there again when I travel to NYC. June 29, 2015
Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by bad experience/bad stay We walked into our room and it was HOT! We tried adjusting the A/C. When it didn't cool down, we called the desk and they sent a maint. man to look at it. He said he made adjustments and to give it 20 minutes to cool down the room. I went to the ice machine, and it didn't work! After half an hour and no relief I called the front desk. She said I had to wait at least an hour before they could do something. After an hour, we were sweating and I went down to the desk and said we had to change rooms. We went into our next room and the smoke detector was hanging down from the ceiling. This hotel is very dated. It was probably nice looking about 20 years ago, but the décor-flooring, walls etc. are old. We didn't get smiles or hello's from staff. Just not a great experience.
