Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location We have stayed several times at this hotel, mainly because of its proximity to Lincoln Centre. We find the rooms comfortable and clean, with all necessary amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. It is also a short walk to buses and the subway. We will definitely be back. April 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Great location; poor temperature control This property is perfect if you plan to visit Central Park- it's about 2 blocks away from the main entrance. I was disappointed to find that, unlike most HI properties, breakfast was not included in the price. However, kids eat free, so that took some of the sting out of it. The room was a decent size; we had a room with 2 double beds. The bath tub left a lot to be desired, but water pressure was strong. I've never stayed in a hotel that didn't have an air conditioner option in the room. When I called the front desk to inquire as to how to turn the a/c on, they said the rooms don't have individual a/c control, but they would send up a fan and we could open a window. Overall, the stay was pleasant. April 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Location Location Location Standard corporate décor. Although rooms are recently remodeled, they have a 1980s feel, albeit with flat screen tv. Beds are comfortable and rooms are very clean. Internet service is good. Above all, however, this is an excellent location, near reasonable restaurant/bar scene on 9th Avenue, and close to Times Square area without all the craziness. Two Starbucks are nearby. Also, validated valet parking on site - with validation $27 in cash which is an extremely reasonable rate for NYC. April 16, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Convenient hotel and comfortable sleep. Booked this hotel as part of a BA holiday package as it was well located in Midtown Manhattan. Not disappointed. Staff was very helpful and relocated us from initial noisy room to a nice quiet one. Room was large and well appointed with safe, coffee machine and large screen TV but no fridge. Unfortunately the wall mounted aircon was non functional and the room was rather warm in the afternoons despite leaving the windows open as it faced the sun. King size bed was very comfortable so we got good nights sleep. Breakfast was reasonably priced but the buffet was rather limited and virtually did not vary over our ten day stay. Restaurant staff were attentive and pleasant. Would stay here again but not in hot months until aircon is fitted to rooms. April 16, 2015
