I stayed here for two nights for work. The staff was very friendly at check-in. Room was nicely furnished and clean. Plenty of outlets for my computer/phone/etc. Can't stress how nice the staff is at this property. I stay in hotel rooms 60 nights each year, not all with Holiday Inn, but after this experience, I will be staying with them more.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Excellent staff, well looked after
It was a brief 4 day stop over and we wanted to be in the Chelsea area. The hotel was perfectly placed, easy to get to and get around uptown or The Village (we never needed a cab). The staff were amongst the best I've ever met, knowledgeable about the area and seemed genuinely happy to help. The restaurant seemed to be quite new, has no alcohol license and, on the only night we tried it, was completely empty yet the waiter was rude and unhelpful... there are enough restaurants within a 5 minute walk not to let it bother you. The room and the bathroom were a little small, but it's New York and floor space is at a premium. Overall though, I'd rather have great and helpful staff than a few extra square feet. We would definitely stay again if I ended to be in that area of NY.

The staff is super friendly, helpful, and bilingual, truly the hotels greatest asset.
Bathroom was clean, tub drain was not.
Bedding was clean and comfortable.
Location was great, safe and convenient.
There was scalding water or freezing water, so bathing was a challenge; be vigilant with young children as it is dangerous and plan to be resourceful as an adult meeting needs beyond a single night!
Stay on 5th floor or lower, elevators are compact and in demand, not sufficient for keeping guests moving.
Overall appearance is dated and cramped, common areas are worn and dirty.
