Check in functional, staff not particularly friendly, seemed preoccupied with other things.
Room, a suite, a bit small. Once the sofa bed was extended, there was virtually no room to walk around it. Then there was the air con, really noisy, had to resort to ear plugs.
Then my major gripe.
I was on a bed and breakfast package, booked via the IHG call centre since it didn't appear on the website at the time. I didn't realise I was then going to get vouchers to spend in a third party restaurant (The Pantry in this case). These vouchers, worth $24, were to cover breakfast for two. With three in my party I knew I'd have to spend a bit more. However that amount was not sufficient for just a coffee and a hot dish for two.
Having stayed in Holiday Inn hotels over Europe I've never come across this, so maybe it's just at this hotel, however when I pay in advance for something, I don't expect to have to pay more later...

Rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Lobby is spacious and clean. Hotel staff is very friendly and responsive to your needs. The on site hotel is an added plus with excellent food and service. We will stay here
again on next visit to Vancouver.

During our stay at the Holiday Inn, the entire staff was very courteous and helpful.
