I paid in full, in advance, for a room for 4 adults and was given a room for 2 adults. I had to find other accommodations for half our party. Apparently, a reservation that is paid for is no reservation at all at the Holiday Inn. The staff person was very nice but did nothing to solve my problem. She gave a comp for two free dinners, which we could not use because the cafe closed before we could get back to the hotel. Apparently, paying for a room in advance doesn't mean you have a reserved room at the Holiday Inn. Plus, the room was dirty, the carpet filthy and the room was old and out of date. The staff is either not empowered to solve your problem or don't care or both. Why take reservations and take full payment in advance when it doesn't mean anything? Customer service is no longer a value at the Holiday Inn.
