Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Not up to Holiday Inn's previous standards I understand that this particular Holiday Inn is undergoing some renovations. There were no signs on the outside of the building to show where to gain access to it - we stumbled across it by accident. It was late at night when we arrived but even more important to get the signage correct. Reception staff were helpful and once checked in we tried to find our room. It was on the 8th floor and weren't told that only one of the lifts go to the 8th floor - so at approaching midnight we were stumbling round the 6th floor (as that's where the lift finished) looking for access to the 8th floor. On getting back in to another lift to go down to reception we discovered that THIS lift went to the 8th floor! Although the room had under gone a make over it was exceedingly small. In order for me to get in and out of bed I had to crawl over the other side of the bed. The room has a central pillar and over hangs from the ceiling - I banged my head on getting in May 30, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Save your money and go elsewhere. Not worth the hassle This is probably the worst property I have ever stayed at. In addition to poor service and incompetent staff. 1. the Fire alarm went off while I was showering, and I had to rush out of the building half dressed 2. The hotel me billed me twice for the same stay and trying to dispute this matter is another issue that I am dealing with 3. the hotel staff understands very little English and takes a long time to service simple requests such as reissuing a key. ~twenty minutes. 4. There were renovations going on and there is no elevator to the ground floor and I had a heavy suitcase, in which no one offered to carry it down. May 27, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Under Construction! Not for the first time - it is not noted when a hotel is under construction (aka renovation). The whole place is a mess. Checking in and out took forever standing at the 1st floor corridor. The upgraded room was near the stairs which was hectic since the elevator was out of service. Not that I'd like to be at such a place for a reduced price but a full fare is a bit cynical, to say the least. May 26, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Great suite I have booked a basic room, but because I would like to check in earlier instead of 3pm, I asked if I could pay extra for the early check in. The front desk was very welcoming and helpful, and in the end, she recommended me to take a suite for additional 70euros. I took it. The room had a great view of the gare de l'est and it was breathtaking. The mini bar is complimentary. Sleep was great, and the room is totally sound proofed. Just a side note, I did ask for an iron and ironing board, the front desk said he will check for me, but in the end there is no response for my request. And on the telephone there is no direct number to call the housekeeping or the reception. Maybe this hotel can improve on that. Otherwise, it is a great hotel. May 22, 2015
