Easy train access from the airport. A short walk to Notre Dame, many sidewalk cafes, multiple small grocery stores nearby. Walking distance to many popular museums. Subway close by for other historic landmarks.
Free upgrade to a balcony was excellent. Be sure to get a balcony room even if you have to pay for it in advance. Rooftop bar was excellent with great views including the lighting of the Eiffel Tower. The hotel staff was excellent, and very helpful with directions. Most people in Paris speak English, so it is easy to travel.
The rooms were newly redone and fashionable.

Hotel staff can make or break a vacation; this staff was happy and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed. Location near Notre Dame, Metro stops, and restaurants was perfect. Felt very safe.

While the hotel has very comfortable rooms and friendly staff, the location is the absolute standout for me. The St Michel area makes a brilliant base for exploring Paris. You have easy access to both metro and RER stations and are within walking distance of some of the top sight of Paris like Notre Dame, Sainte Chappelle, Louvre, Luxembourg Gardens.
The rooftop bar with views out over Paris was excellent and made for some great photo ops.
The only thing I didn't like was the glass window between the bedroom and the bathroom. This might be ok for couples but for friends travelling together, this is an unwanted feature. There was a blind you could pull down but it was accessed outside the bathroom (!!) and had gaps on either side so there was not complete privacy. The glass sliding door into the bathroom did not completely close so if you had to turn on the light in the middle of the night, the whole room was lit, not to mention there was no muffling of sound.

The room was ok, however, it could have been a bit bigger taking into consideration all other Holiday Inn hotels have larger rooms (king bed room).
The hotel was decent as well.
The staff is very bad, not able to help after they have billed me twice, and very rude.

We couldn't have been happier with the location of Holiday Inn Notre Dame. The staff was so very kind and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel particularly because of the location- cafes everywhere, five minute walk to Notre Dame, easy access to the Metro and taxis available very close to hotel. Any questions I had were quickly answered by staff members. Their genuine greetings of Bonjour made us feel so at home.

Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Kene66 Shame about the little things.
The hotel was let down by silly avoidable things that just kept chipping away at the overall experience.
In one of our rooms the fridge didn't work, in another both the telephone and the safe didn't work and in another the cleaning staff didn't replace some of the bathroom items for three of the four days.
The fact that they put our three family rooms on three different floors (remember the broken telephone?) rather than putting us together was a challenge, especially bearing in mind that we booked this hotel several months in advance.
Dark wallpaper and floors in the bedrooms. Very stylish but when combined with energy saving light bulbs made it very difficult to see.
I so wanted to write a good review for this hotel. I really did.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Siew2013 Great location, interconnecting rooms, view from rooftop
1. Great location to be in as we could walk to Louvre (2 km+), Musee D'Orsay (2 km+) and Notre Dame (5 minutes). The walks were along the Seine and treats by themselves.
RER and Metro were just barely 5 minutes away.
Lots of small eating outlets nearby.
2. Rooms are small (you have to be able to tolerate decor of red, purple, blacks) but clean. no view. Had two interconnecting rooms which we found were also the accessibility rooms (designed for travellers who are wheelchair users) so the bathroom amenities may not be what a standard traveller is used to.
3. View from the rooftop bar- Eiffel Tower shimmering in the winter night was great.
Plenty of other choices at the same room rate but location convenience makes up the difference.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Georgia girl Great little hotel in the Latin Quarter
The staff was great. There were at the desk all hours of the day and night with help and guidance The room was small; but, well organized with all the amenities. This part of the city is crowded in all aspects. We got used to it. It was in a great location, near the Metro and easy access to everything. No work out room or pool. When walking up to 10 miles or so a day, guess they figure wasn't needed and once again space an issue. Oh yes, nice view on top.

Stayed 2 nights on points with our children on their first visit to Paris and couldn't have picked a better location. Right in the middle of all the sights and the view from the roof top was breathtaking. hotel was modern, clean and surprisingly large rooms by Parisean standards.

This hotel is my favorite place to stay in Paris! The location is perfect, the staff is helpful, the room was lovely, and the terrace is a wonderful place to relax with a view of this beautiful city. Merci to the entire staff, but especially to Zoe who was so very helpful.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by MSfromUK Smallest room in Paris
We stayed two nights at this hotel. The room was so small that the bathroom did not have a bath, the refrigerator door could not be fully opened because of the closeness of the small double bed and the doors of the tiny wardrobe could also not be fully opened because of a wall light positioned to the side of the bed.
Needless to say we will not be staying at this hotel again as it was definitely a place to forget. I have stayed in dozens of Holiday Inns and this is definitely the worst.

The Holiday Inn is in a great location. It is away from the major tourist bustle, but close enough to the French Quarter and Metro lines to make all of Paris accessible. There are plenty of cafes available to get a true "taste" of Paris. The rooftop terrace offers great views of all the major sights.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Alex619 Excelent position
We stayed two night in the heart of Paris: the hotel position is excellent, at walking distances of most main spots in Paris.
The front desk staff was gentle and polite, the room was clean and we had a view on the Eiffel tower from our balcony.
I recommend this hotel: it's a little expensive, but it worth the money.

Booked this hotel through eBookers and was not disappointed. Friendly and helpful staff, lovely quiet room and a great roof terrace to see the sights after dark. Close to the Notre Dame and Louvre and with a Metro (St Michel) right on the doorstep it was ideal for sight seeing. Breakfast was epic and highly recommended as an option. Overall, can't fault it really, great staff, great location, great views from the roof and great value. Thank you for making our stay memorable.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by 2HokiesfromNC Great location, Great value, Pleasant Staff but beware of Room 105
You can't beat the location of this hotel. Right next to the St. Michel Metro Stop which provides easy access to most tourist sites. The first night I was in a Standard room (108# (business# before I moved into an Executive Room #105# which I purchased in advance for the 2 personal vacation days I took after my business trip to celebrate my 20th wedding anniversary. The room was larger but it faced the road right above the entrance to the hotel. Room 108 was on the garden side #very quiet). The bed and pillows in 105 were not as good as in 108, and both of us awoke the first night at 5am to a strange sound behind the wall in the bathroom #sounded like the pipes were shaking with running water). Since we were only staying 2 nights, we didn't want to move again. Overall the front desk staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay, and didn't laugh at my attempt to speak French as much as my wife did. Recommend asking for a room on the garden/courtyard side of the hotel. I am sure the hotel would have moved me if I had asked. The hotel breakfast was very average. Paris a beautiful city and the food is fantastic. Chez Fernand was a very good mid-priced French restaurant not far from the hotel along with Franky Italian Restaurant. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by paris199 Excellent location & roof top view
Bed was comfortable, choice of two types of pillows a nice touch. Queen room (Eiffel tower view) with balcony, 2 chairs and table. Room had a mini bar/ refrigerator and hot water pot. Great modern shower and bathroom. Room was quiet no street noise at all. Two breakfasts offered, but we did not eat there. Nice lobby Bar. Roof top bar was closed for the season, but you could bring up your own drinks and enjoy the view.
Location by the RER/Metro was perfect for us. Easy train ride to Versailles on the train. Close to shops and lots of restaurants and cafes. Don't miss the roof top view of the Eiffel tower and all of Paris at night!

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by peterpanihg extraordinary experience
Wow! That's what jumped out from my mouth when I entered the room and looked out from the window.
The hotel's location is very convenient for public transportation. It is only 100 meters away from the St. Michel Notre-Dame metro station wherein the RER C, RER B and Metro #4 meet. We took RER B from Airport Charles De Gaulle to the hotel directly.
The neighbourhood is Quartier Latin on Rive-Gauche, a lot of POIs including Notre-Dame, Hotel de Ville, La Concergerie, Sainte-Chapelle, Penthéon, Sorbonne Université, Musée Cluny are within walking distance. There are innumerable bars and café around the area.
From the window, we can see Tour Eiffel and Les Invalides and Sacré Coeur. We witnessed the magic lighting effect on these dreaming building at night, drinking beers on the balcony.
In the room, we found Evian, Perrier, Twix and a few Nespresso Bullets, FREE OF CHARGE! Needless to say the bed is comfortable and the staffs are always nice as all other Holiday Inns around the world.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 Great location and excellent, clean hotel
Very satisfied with this hotel. It's in a great location for the islands and notre dame. It's also serviced very well by stationary at saint michel for metro, RER and SNCF lines. The RER line runs from and to CDG airport so it's very handy. There are lots of restaurants within close proximatry to the hotel.
Staff are very friendly and helpful with good English. Breakfast is good. Hotel and rooms are very clean. Bed was comfy and we had an excellent sleep. Rooftop bar was a real bonus for the view of the city, although the bar facility is unfortunately closed during the winter months . We had free Wifi connection and it was fine and didn't cut out. Room size was adequate and in line with the small room sizes you tend to get in paris. Overall a great hotel for a short city break.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Quiggs008 Central and close to it all
A wonderful hotel and an even better location. Centrally located about 300 yards from Notre Dame, a metro stop just below the front steps, multiple cafe's and take out places, as well as an Irish pub just a stones throw away, this will definately be our preferred hotel when in Paris. The normal rate is a bit high and not certain of the value compared to another Holiday Inn we almost chose for almost 1/3 less. We used points for our stay and were recognized and upgraded to a balcony room at check in. A very busy hotel that was secure and the rooftop view is awesome. There is service up top on the weekend it seems but not during the week. No problem though, the bar downstairs has no problem with you bringing drinks to the roof. Room was big by european standards. The balconies on the 6th floor may take some of the rooms footprint, but we weren't there all that much. It was perfect to relax after a long day walking around and hanging on the balcony. All in all a great stay and a wonderful staff.

The hotel couldn't be in a better location. The staff at the reception are amazing, very friendly and helpful. The bathroom of the hotels aren't the best, every time one showers the water fills the floor because they have a not very well made door. They need to give more towels....
Breakfast is good, but don't go close to 10:30 because the lady in the restaurant turns into a jerk and slams the door. Not everyplace is perfect, but this is a hotel i would definitely come back!

My wife and I stayed at the Holiday Inn in September 2013.
The staff were great and the location is fantastic but the room was ridiculously small - even by Parisian standards !
The bed took up the whole room, there was nowhere to sit, nowhere to put luggage.
The room was a King bed leisure room.
