The Holiday Inn is way above Paris hotels in this price range - they are generally much older and with much fewer facilities. The HI Notre Dame is a very pleasant improvement with larger rooms, much more to breakfast and a whole lot more modern. Location is great!
Best thing about the hotel is of course the staff - everyone was helpful, polite and ready to attend to every request

Terrific convenient location to Notre Dame, Louvre, both RER and Metro train systems for public transport, Latin Quarter restaurants and shops, etc. We LOVED the location! The room was a little small, especially the very tight niche for the bathroom sink made it uncomfortable for washing faces, brushing teeth and shaving. The small patio for two and the view of the Eiffel tower from there was wonderful though. The rooftop guest area was also great!

My husband and I chose to stay at the Holiday Inn Paris - Notre Dame for three nights on our honeymoon. We loved the hotel. The location was perfect - just steps from the metro stop and next to Notre Dame. All of Paris's key sites were easy to access from the hotel. We stayed in the standard Queen Room. The room was very clean and spacious by European standards. The bathroom was small but clean and satisfied our needs. The lobby area was nice, and the rooftop bar had great views of the Eiffel Tower. We would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone traveling to Paris.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Jason_71 Great Staff, Comfortable Bed,
The hotel is close to Notre Dame (5 minutes walk), Palais de Justice (5 minutes walk), the Louvre (about 20 minutes walk) and numerous other destinations. Restaurants in the area were convenient and quite good. The hotel lacks a restaurant but does serve a brunch which we did not take advantage of. I wish it would have had a restaurant on premises but there were a multitude of eating places close by so it really wasn't a problem.
Our room on the seventh floor was small with a view of the Eiffel Tower in the distance. The room had a balcony with a couple of chairs to sit out although the weather in early April (rain and / or overcast) left sitting outside to be a less than desirable activity. The window had a "deadbolt" sliding type lock that the sticker in the room suggested to the occupant to latch as the balcony could be accessed by neighboring room balconies. Unfortunately the cleaning staff (presumably) unlatched it every day they cleaned the room and left it unlatched.
If you are on the side of the hotel facing the Eiffel Tower be prepared to hear some loud conversations from the bar down the street on Friday and Saturday nights until about 1 am. I was jetlagged anyway and probably could not have slept then if it were quiet, however, the noise didn't help. Not the hotel's fault I understand but just an observation.
My seventh floor Eiffel Tower room was small. I know European hotel rooms are small typically but this one felt unusually small. Also, the bathroom door was a glass door which didn't have a jamb or latch so whatever sounds were occurring in the bathroom were audible outside in the room itself. Not really impressed with that aspect - when in the bathroom performing bathroom activities I at least prefer the suggestion of privacy.
The hotel front deck staff spoke great English and was very helpful in all manners - check in / out, scheduling taxis, directing us toward activities, etc...
All in all it was a nice hotel and I enjoyed my stay.

If you want to be close to the action in Paris, this is the location for you. The hotel is within walking distance from the Metro and the RER trains. There is a small grocery store next to the hotel for all your convenience items. The area is loaded with many restaurants of all varieties and price points...from quick street food to elegant sit down style.
We felt very safe in the area even at the later evening hours.
Most of the major sights in Paris can be within walking distance...in fact, we walked to Notre Dame down to the Louvre all the way to the Arc de Triomphe along the C E L and then headed to the Eiffel Tower all on foot.
Staff was courteous and helpful with any of our questions---change, directions, suggestions and area maps.
As a priority club platinum member, we were even upgraded to the executive level. THANKS!
If ever in Paris again, we will be back to this hotel.

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Citreon Lover Awesome staff and great left bank location.
One block south of river and less than a block to metro and RER to De Gaulle. Personnel are super friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very good (always fresh fruit, baked goods, and cheeses as well as several hot entrees) and definitely worth the price particularly if you buy it into room price when booking. Room was on 2nd floor and still very quiet (inside courtyard view), generous size for a downtown hotel. Bed & linens very comfortable. Great rooftop lounge with superb views!
