The hotel was the perfect venue due to its location, the comfort of my room and the lobby, the pool/spa and friendly staff. I would return. July 31, 2015

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Great Location, Nice Building, Bad Room! I was very happy with the location of the hotel. The town of Port Washington and the area around the hotel was beautiful. There is a park and walking/biking trail that takes you all around the entire area including a large section of the lakefront. The restaurants in the area surrounding the hotel and in the town are very good and super friendly! We actually were there to visit Cedarburg, WI but, I'm happy we decided to stay in Port Washington. It gave us a wonderful experience in two Wisconsin towns. The hotel looked great from the outside and in the lobby areas but, the room was very outdated and the appearance was not up to the usual standards for an IHG property. If it wasn't for the friendly and helpful staff and the great fun we had on our visit I would have been very disappointed with our stay. Luckily the fun we had in Cedarburg and Port Washington outweighed the disappointment we had for the room. July 27, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by run down and shabby We stayed in your hotel last month and were very disappointed in the accommodations. The cleanliness was okay, but the room was disheveled and it seemed as though the management and the staff did not care about the appearance of the room or the guests that might be staying in it. The bed was old and a topper was placed on it, in an attempt to make it comfortable. The curtains on both sides had rips more than a foot in length, the plaster around the windows and air conditioner was chipping and cracking, the bed skirt was so wrinkled it was as though it had been rolled up into a ball in storage before it was placed on the bed and there were spider webs and spiders in two spots of our room. When we went to the hallway to head to the front desk to alert the staff, there was a table in the hallway that had two stacks of linens on it and I can guarantee that the table was not clean since we had just seen food and drinks discarded on it. I was upset that a member of the housekeeping team would not appreciate that this would not be sanitary or acceptable for a guest to see when staying at a hotel of this nature or for the price that one pays to stay at this location. When my partner and I went downstairs to alert the staff, the front desk clerk went behind the scenes for a moment and then came back and said that she couldn't refund our room since we had paid cash, even though we had put our credit card on file. She also indicated that for our inconvenience she would give us 4000 points, which she would add into our rewards account. We, at no time saw a manager or did we feel that this was the way that this should have been handled. I expected superior, understated service with outstanding facilities as your website suggests. As the pictures indicate, this fell far from our expectations More importantly, your staff failed to satisfy the customer, offer an alternative or provide a manager to help solve the issue. I am truly upset at the fact that the clerk or the manager thought that giving us 4000 points would satisfy our minds in regards to this stay. After almost a month, I thought it was important that you knew about this situation. July 15, 2015
