Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 by Ups and Downs The Holiday Inn San Cristobal has a lot of potential and has some good plus' even now. It just has too many needless issues that could easily be corrected with a little investment and focus. On the plus side, it is an amazing, charming facility right in an ideal location. Cost was very reasonable. On the challenging side: * had to request a room change as the first one was TINY. * WiFi was slow and inconsistent - almost worthless really. Called for correction and received no help. * The heating and cooling systems in both rooms did not work and the staff could not get them functioning. *Despite the hotel catering to western tourists, I encountered only 1 desk staff member in 4 days who spoke passable English. No one else at the desk nor anyone else did so including the dining staff. Made it very difficult to obtain service and information. *Facility had a lot of noise in common areas that was easily heard within rooms. Hotel did nothing to quiet those making the noise regardless of hour. February 15, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Organización y Mantenimiento Hay que revisar las habitaciones antes de que el huésped ocupe la habitación, para brindarle un servicio seguro de que todo se encuentra en optimas condiciones ya que estamos hablando de un hotel de cuatro y media estrellas. tener el bufete a la hora señalada y con alimentos tipicos de la región, pero adecuadas al horario que se sirvan. Mantener las áreas comunes mas supervisadas Lavar o cambiar alfombras de los pasillos que ya están muy sucias y deterioradas. En los baños hay que actualizar los WC y corregir que salga agua caliente rápido. revisar que las llaves del lavabo no gote. February 11, 2015

The staff brought a portable heater which was OK, but that was after a change of room - to another room where the heating did not work. How is it that staff cannot know that the whole hotel has a problem with heating - and probably hot water? No apology. Just more porter fees because we were now upstairs. February 11, 2015

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Para buscar una mejor opción de alojamiento La tarifa resulta muy alta para el tipo de hotel. No cuenta con estacionamiento, el coche se debe llevar a dos calles y no cuenta con lugar al frente para bajar las maletas con comodidad. Las habitaciones del segundo piso son muy calurosas y el aire acondicionado se descompuso. No contaron con personal de mantenimiento que lo reparara. January 2, 2015

Hotel staff was quite friendly and helpful. Hotel was located very close to downtown San Cristobal and made it convenient to walk to the plaza central and also to local markets and churches. Very clean rooms and quaint decorations. Room was a bit small, we figured it could be due to downtown location. January 2, 2015
