Rated 2.0 out of 5.0 No Room Cleaning We stayed over the Memorial Day weekend and did not get our room cleaned on Sunday, May 24th. The front desk apologized, naturally, but did not get anyone to come clean our room. So, old towels, sheets, etc. for that day. No effort to make amends, and it did not seem like a big deal to the staff. The rooms are pretty old, so suffice it to say that we will not likely return. The only strong point is the location. Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Comfortable stay This Holiday Inn Express was very comfortable. The wi if was not working and there was no indication of this until I called the front desk. The restaurant was very warm for breakfast but the meal was very good. The property was very nice but we didn't make use of the pool or convention facilities since we only stayed one night. Overall, it wad adequate for our purposes. May 29, 2015

Rated 5.0 out of 5.0 by Love this property A real resort feel with beautiful outside pool and bar. My rooms had a view of the marina, microwave and mini fridge. Hotel restaurant was excellent with reasonable prices. A couple of miles from "downtown" Solomons which is a paradise for boaters on the river close to the Bay. Beds were very comfortable. Short drive to Tiki Bar and Vera's (Lusby). Only downside I see to this location is the lack of a nice sandy beach in the immediate vicinity. May 29, 2015
Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Solomon's Island Holiday Inn We've stayed here several times because of its proximity to the Calvert Marine Museum. The check in was pretty slow this time. I'm guessing with the concert, a wedding, and some large groups and being Memorial Day weekend, they were a little overwhelmed. The outside bar was good, but watching a new bartender added on Saturday of Memorial Day weekend was challenging. They had an awful time with the food bar orders. Stuff came out undercooked, wrong or missing items. We called it the Food Fiasco. This affected how long it took to get drinks. They were trying very hard, but obviously frustrated. Glad we ate elsewhere before coming. The room was fine since staying overnight and I will stay again in the future for more concerts I'm sure. May 27, 2015
