Of the two rooms I booked one was upgraded to a two room suite which was excellent, but the second room booked as a twin was quite cramped, however, as it was only for one night it was not a problem.

The room is recently renovated and is very comfortable. The location is also very convenient, close to China town and Darling Harbour.

Note that this stay was with a tour group, so my "N/A' responses were reflected for areas that did not apply. However, I found this stay to be extremely comfortable, the property to be well located, and the staff friendly and responsive.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Goppy Your staff in the bar are very friendly
Blanca in the bar was the only saving grace that your hotel has.
The rudeness of the check out staff and the fact that they argued with me over the internet rate is unacceptable and then to charge me twice for 2 breakfast is totally unbelievable. Its not that you had to cook the breakfast special when it was in the main breakfast area.
I am travelling to Europe next week. To Dubai, Luxembourg, Amsterdam and Berlin next week, I will not be giving your Darling Harbor Sydney any good reports.

This hotel needs to rethink the cleaning products used in its rooms - the residual smell (awful) left a burning sensation in my throat.
It also need to up the quality of food on their room service, of particular note, the T bone steak (road kill) and their Rhubarb and applie pie, a $0.50 offering from a cheap supermarket.

Rated 3.0 out of 5.0 by Tim Beattie Not what it used to be
The staff at this hotel are excellent. However a number of recent "innovations" are severely detracting from the value to customers.
1. The in room mini-bar is described as ":just the way you like it". What this really means is that there is no mini-bar service - only room service.
2. The restaurant which was refitted recently is a complete mess at breakfast time. Often there is a long queue and the new set-up of the food bar seems designed to cause severe congestion. I don't bother any more.
3. The new parking arrangements are not good and there is no valet parking any more.
4. The in room TV service is very patchy. Often the control units don't work properly or the quality of the picture is very poor. I suspect this system needs updating.
Although I have stayed at this hotel over 150 times, I don't use it now unless I have to.

Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Hank97 Rude staff & horrendous service
Customer service needs attention. A very rude manager... training and directing their staff by angrily shouting while we checked in.
Also found that the room we were to be staying in was not ready yet (rooms were not cleaned from the previous guest). When we went back down to the front desk to inform the manager on duty, she didn't bother to check and look over the mistake but rather questioned (quite rudely might I add) with an annoyed expression.
Food quality was poor. Worst I've ever eaten. How is it possible to make such disgusting food with the same ingredients most households use.. Shocker..
Highly recommended to NOT go. What a waste of time & money.
