Stayed for two nights to visit the Ironbridge Gorge . Pleasantly surprised that an international chain felt comfortable and friendly for a family on a leisure break , with (on the saver-rate) good value for money .
Reception staff were friendly and polite , room was clean and comfortable although the slightly confusing air-con made a racket while I reduced the inevitable high temperature to a more comfortable one .
Very impressed by the breakfast ; large choice of juices , fruits , cereals and the cooked options were excellent , perfectly cooked and not dripping with grease .
Finally the pool , while not huge , was a great feature to have when travelling with children and this one had a large , clean changing area and friendly staff .

One of the benefits of HI is that the standard is consistent regardless of location. Telford is no exception. Generally good all round with decent (but limited menu) room service meals - a must. OK breakfast providing all the ingredients are there. Helpful staff and good amenities. I always tend to go back to Holiday Inn for stays in Telford. The tomato juice at breakfast is a mandatory.....
Wireless facilities good. A bit on the expensive side. And why is it so difficult to book a room in advance? So often it is sold out.

We stayed in this hotel for a few days from the 27th of june , we booked the hotel and i rang up for a free upgrade , no problem , we got upgraded to a newly refurbished room .the hotel is in a quiet location , and is well placed for visiting the surrounding country side and locations like iron bridge , lots english heritage, and the national trust place's, shrewsbury is not far either. Helen on front desk was most helpful recommending and booking tables at local restaurants for us . We can recommend this hotel
