Rated 4.0 out of 5.0 by Holiday Inn is a great place to stay in the Executive Rooms. Overall it was a very good experience except for the disappointing room service breakfast. It arrived way too soon, was cold, and it was unpleasant. I left most of it because it was not the normal room service breakfast I expect from a Holiday Inn. Bacon super salty, thick but not crisp, eggs pale and runny, toast dry and cold, and way too many hash brown cubes. Fresh squeezed orange juice definitely was not. Left most of it. I have a thing about room service breakfasts. It's an extra special treat for me when I get the time, but this was utterly disappointing. I don't know if it was a bad day, or this is standard but it was not up to other Holiday Inns. Other than that, the hotel is comfortable, staff is courteous. Also the wifi for my computer kept cutting in and out until I turned off the Shaw option. February 19, 2015
Rated 1.0 out of 5.0 by Horrible Experience From Start to Finish. Everything about this hotel stay was awful. We had to go to Vancouver for a week for work, and the website advertised it's appeal for people who had to work from the hotel room. The internet was so poor that by day two we had to go to the Starbucks across the street to work because their wifi was at least workable. The sheets and towels were so rough it was awful to sleep and bathe. And I had called ahead of time to change my booking, but at time of checkout the manager said he was not refunding me my money because he said that he didn't have to honor what Holiday Inn corporate did. So even though I had it in writing that a refund was coming, he said he didn't have to do it. It took a formal complaint and two full weeks for them to refund the money. And to top it off, the manager was arrogant and rude when he told me he was not going to refund the money. I would stay as far away as possible from this hotel because it is not as advertised and management is horrible. February 17, 2015
