Overall the stay was great but the standout for us was the friendly and extremely service oriented Housekeeping staff! I left them a tip, but give them a raise too!

From checking in to checking out, this was one of the best stays I've had at a hotel. Mr. Moyses checked my wife and I in when we arrived: professional and personal. I walked in the lobby a couple days later and he called me by name, and I had not interacted with him since check-in. Another employee, Marina, answered multiple questions for my wife, and assisted her in getting set for sightseeing, and was efficient and fast when we left. The restaurant has excellent food (I highly recommend the burgers) and it is competitively priced. Although restaurants abound in the immediate area, we ate twice in the hotel restaurant. We did not use the pool or the exercise room. Housekeeping was helpful and even came by later in the day when we didn't get up and moving early. Easy walk (about 1 mile) to Georgetown University, and the Circulator bus picks up right across the street. Also (big plus!) the hotel has a shuttle that can drop you at the National Mall - other places too, if you make arrangements through the front desk. My wife's comment summed up our stay: "It's been a long time since we've stayed at Holiday Inn... I'm rethinking that. This is really nice."

Airco blows directly at workspace, very uncomfortably cold when wanting to do some work; Internet prehistorically slow; Overall state of hotel a bit run down; Pool is small and surrounded by high wall and cement floor all around, price for least attractive pool in the world; parking subject to police ticketing if hotel pass not displayed in car - never warned by hotel staff to watch out for this; far walk to center Georgetown;
