London's theatre scene is famous worldwide, so try to catch at least one play while you're here. The Piccadilly Line brings you from Heathrow right to Leicester Square, where you can purchase half-price tickets to West End blockbusters as well as well-regarded fringe theatre at playhouses throughout London. Before the curtain goes up, enjoy High Tea at Selfridge's or an early bite at a SoHo cafe.

Near the Marble Arch Tube station is Hyde Park's Speaker's Corner, a spot for free speech and debate on virtually any topic. Speaker's Corner was created by Parliament in 1872, via the Parks and Gardens Act. The ranting and raving begins on Sunday mornings and continues throughout the afternoon. Some speakers attract a crowd, while others do not, and heckling is part of the fun.

The 500-year-old Hampton Court Palace is a 45-minute drive from the hotel and is one of the most magnificent of England's royal homes. You can easily spend an entire day here wandering through such marvels as Henry VIII's Great Hall, lush gardens including a world-famous maze, and the Chapel Royal. The palace's Cumberland Art Gallery, which debuted in 2014, showcases the royals' collections.

Heathrow Express trains leave from Heathrow T5 and take 20 minutes to reach London’s Paddington Station. The station is close to Bayswater shopping centre and Hyde Park, or you can transfer to the Tube for other central London destinations. The Piccadilly Line from Heathrow is the cheaper way to get to places such as the West End theatre district and the British Museum.
