Piney Shores Resort also sits right on Lake Conroe and its 22,000 acres of water—that means boat time! There are plenty of places nearby where you can get Lake Conroe boat rentals, along with kayaks, jet skis, fishing gear and more. The resort itself has a boat ramp and covered boat slips, so you can enjoy a serene lake day on your getaway.

Back on land, round out your retreat by venturing to Lake Conroe Park for a picnic and a swim, playing midway games at Kemah Boardwalk, blasting off at Space Center Houston or checking out the animals at the Houston Zoo.
