No se vaya a casa sin
A lesser-known stop outside St. Louis is Grant’s Farm. Once owned by our 18th President (and still has his circa-1856 cabin on site), it is now owned by the former beer-brewing Busch family. The historical estate now houses over 900 animals and 100 different species, as well as the world’s largest herds of Clydesdale horses. Admission is free with a car parking fee only.
De Soto and the surrounding area offer some great wineries including LaChance Vineyards, Wild Sun Winery, Villa Antonio Winery and more. The area also includes a number of good spots for antiquing that the front desk staff would be more than happy to share with you if you’re in search of a vintage treasure from your trip.
