Featured Shanghai Hotels

Shanghai is one of the largest economic and financial centers in China. Years of trade and Western influence have shaped the city's modern appearance, yet Shanghai retains much of its traditional charm and flavor.
Guests of our Holiday Inn Express® Shanghai hotels will enjoy exploring the city's historic landmarks and renowned shopping districts.
Not to mention, some of the most impressive skyscrapers in the world.

Start your Shanghai hotel stay with a stroll down the city's famous waterfront, the Bund, where you'll enjoy a variety of architectural styles from the area's heyday as an international banking and commerce district.
The Bund also offers the best views of the Pudong skyline.
Pudong is the shiny economic center of Shanghai, home to the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, Shanghai Stock Exchange, World Financial Center, Jin Mao Building and the distinctive Oriental Pearl Tower.
If you thought the views from the Bund were amazing, the Pearls' panoramic "Space Model" observation deck (over 1100 ft high) will take your breath away. You can also grab a bite to eat at its famous rotating restaurant.

Next, head to Nanjing Lu, Shanghai's premier shopping district.
Nanjing's mix of high-end department stores and specialty shops, where you can load up on Chinese silks, embroidery and jade, makes it a mandatory stop during any traveler's Shanghai hotel stay.
At the end of the Nanjing's three-mile stretch, you'll find the People's Square and Shanghai Museum, China's largest museum of ancient art.
Browse the many galleries of ceramics, calligraphy, sculpture, furniture, coins and more, and you'll get a sense of the Shanghai's rich history.
Round out your tour with a trip to the City God Temple and beautiful Yuyuan Gardens.

East meets West in exciting Shanghai, and with several locations throughout the city to choose form, our Holiday Inn Express Shanghai hotels make it easy to enjoy it all.

Great stay!

Had a wonderful time. Very nice personnel and friendly staff! My recommendations! Will definitely come back again. [Less]
great service and hospitality
By Bobby
The only item that I found and issue with was the menu for the bar/lounge listed Jack Daniel's but was not available or served. Service was excellent though. [Less]
convenient for business travel
By chinagal
Great internet, best I have experienced so far, so this is main reason for my review. Breakfast is good, the room service menu is lousy, but there is a mall with food court across the street, so I [More] recommend venturing out. [Less]
Clean and comfortable rooms
By Amit
This is a good hotel at convenient location. Overall I like the hotel and its rooms but what I didn't like was the breakfast. It was mostly local food with very few options for a vegetarian person [More] like me. They should add more continental food in breakfast as Holiday Inn is a international chain of hotel. Breakfast was the only downside for me in this hotel and rest of the things were good. [Less]
An Almost Satisfying Stay
By JCYY81
Hotel is in walking distance to Metro, Rail service and Buses (short and long distance). Breakfast is a variety of western and Asian cuisine. though more on the Asian side. When entering for the [More] first time, check both sides of the room as buffet is on one end of the room and cook to order is in a nook on the other end of the room. Cook to order will have eggs variety of ways, waffles and noodle/wonton soup. The bath room only has a shower which shares a glass block wall with the guest area. The bath room door is either the shower door or bath room. Soap dispensers are provided. In the shower, soap is both shampoo and body. Bottled water is provided as you should not drink or brush teeth with water from faucet. Like all hotels I've stayed in China, I wish they provided a top sheet as I find the cover they provide to be too heavy -- I wind up being too hot beneath or too cold above the covers. I should have remembered to bring my own blanket as I did last time. Service speed depends on which staff you get who may or may not speak English and how much English they understand. I like uneventful stays because it means I had a place to lay my head at the end of a long day. It was disappointing that the one problem I had which I considered big was not fixed timely -- the HVAC went out. It was reported in the morning and was not fixed by the time I returned at night. It got resolved after I reported it a 2nd time. [Less]
A hotel of convenient location with reasonable price
By a home town visitor
Helpful and courteous hotel staff; Good breakfast with many choices (including western style food, as well as Chinese food); However, the guest room is a little bit old, humid with some smell. [Less]
A recommendable hotel near Taihu
By Ray_MUC

Nice stay in Crowne Plaza Wuxi Taihu
By Stella
Generally speaking, everything is good - Enjoy the staying at Crowne Plaze Club, with quiet environment and nice food (not plenty of foods but enough, with good taste) - Excellent service - Like [More] the offer of various kind of pillows - Suprise to receive the small gift with local specialty [Less]
Great and fast service
It's located at a close range to tai lake. The check in and check out services are fast and convenient. With its delicious breakfast and comfortable room , I will recommend this hotel as a great [More] place for a short time trip. [Less]
