Great Rooms but watch out for Street Noise at Night
The location of the hotel for my needs was perfect in terms of where my client was located. Quick 5 minute walk in the morning to where I was working.
For a 'budget' property rooms are very well
appointed. They looked almost brand new.
Breakfast was included in my room rate, which offered a good selection of cereals, breads and cooked options which set me up well for the day.
One tip I would recommend if you are a light sleeper (certainly during University Term time) is asking for a room away from the Oxford Road side of the hotel. My sleep was broken during the early hours on more than one occasion by fuelled up revellers. There are quite a few student bars in close proximity to the property so worth baring in mind.
I stayed for 3 nights the following week on a different side of the hotel and slept straight through. [Less]
Quiet room, excellent breakfast, good location
Room was well furnished, comfortable. Bathroom very good but lighting not so great. The room was not vacuumed every day. Not sure why, but it didn't detract from a good stay.
1 night stay at Oxford Rd
Modern hotel in a very central location. Room and bathroom in very good condition -I'd stay here again despite the niggles below.
the Holiday Inn chain does make a genuine effort to please their
On the negative side some areas of criticisms - but not complaint :- The office chair in the room did not adjust for height - it was too low to work for long.
TV screen - small by modern standards.
Lift service unreliable.
One staff member rather sour - maybe a a bad day -maybe she didn't like her job.
Cooked breakfast - poor choice of items - am i expecting too much? What was there was Ok apart from the scrambled egg [Less]
