Featured Newcastle Upon Tyne Hotels

We have several Newcastle budget hotels spread across and around the city. These include a hotel near the Metrocentre and hotels in central locations too.

Newcastle is the economic hub of the North East, sitting on the River Tyne just 8 miles from the North Sea. It's a popular city for party animals and museumgoers alike. Some of Newcastle's most well-known landmarks include the impressive Tyne Bridge, Millennium Bridge and Grey's Monument.

The city is also home to almost 10 museums and galleries. There's the Great North Museum, the Discovery Museum and the Stephenson Railway Museum, to name just a few.

The city attracts thousands of shoppers each weekend. The Eldon Square shopping centre in the Newcastle city centre houses a number of high street brands. If you venture out of town, you can visit the massive Metrocentre, which, in addition to its hundreds of shops, has its own indoor funfair! The Grainger Market is open 7 days a week and has food stalls, cafes, souvenir stands, household goods and fashion stalls too.

Think Newcastle and you undoubtedly think of the black and white stripes of Newcastle Football club, whose stadium is in the heart of the city centre. Newcastle also has a horse racing course as well as a dog racing track.

With its own airport, Newcastle has direct links to a number of UK cities. It's also on the East Coast mainline, connecting the city with London by rail in around 3 hours.

This is a city that always welcomes its visitors with open arms. Stay at one of our Newcastle budget hotels to enjoy the city's many attractions without spending a fortune.

Another great stay at the Holiday Inn Jesmond
By Claire72
The Holiday Inn Jesmond draws me back to stay time and time again due to the comfortable and clean rooms, highly finished bathrooms and excellent overall service. Where i have found any problems [More] these have been addressed immediately and without any trouble. My door card stopped worked during my last stay and this was resolved very quickly and also after checks were made first to ensure i was a resident which made be feel very safe and assured. The service in the restaurant was slower than usual one of the 2 nights i dined in the hotel restaurant. The waiters advised that there was a function on and service would be slower than is customary. That was not a problem at all as gave more time to soak up the ambience. The food quality and choice is also extremely good for the price and very competitive compared to other hotel chains i have stayed in. The only criticism i have is overhearing a gentleman having to chase up a starter he was waiting on which was then immediately served with sincere apologies. His main was served 10 minutes after so there must have been a mix up with the kitchen. This was the only time he was made aware of the slower than usual service on the night of the function. [Less]

Super Super service!

The service I received from Pio was outstanding, he recognised me based on my previous stays and didn't have to ask my name when checking in or out. The room was superb, really quiet, with ZERO [More] traffic noise and very quiet on the corridors too. Bathroom was really clean too. and to top it all off, FREE PARKING! 10/10!! [Less]

Better than expected
By FlosMum
Everything was fantastic except for two things (which are purely down to personal preference/experience). 1. The Ringtons coffee is horrible - definitely need a better quality coffee for this [More] standard hotel. 2. The quilt on my bed didn't seem wide enough - it didn't drape down the sides and, therefore, did not provide sufficient cover for two of us. I have a feeling it was the wrong size for that bed. Otherwise, I couldn't fault this place. Very happy customer. [Less]

excellent place to stay for convenience to City centre and Metro Arena, Railway station just around the corner [Less]
Comfortable bed and great service
By Bobster
Recommend for any stay in Newcastle. Within easy reach of city centre. Comfortable with all amenities. Friendly staff with excellent breakfast facilities and bar / lounge area. Not the greatest view [More] from the bedroom though backing onto a building area, the local post office and railway. But very good sound proofing and blackout curtains meant a good nights sleep.
