Featured Swindon Hotels

Make yourself at home in our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Swindon and discover the town's Victorian past at the STEAM museum, or warm yourself in a welcoming country pub in the surrounding Wilshire countryside.

From the comfort of our Swindon hotels, you can check out the immaculately preserved steam trains on display at STEAM: Museum of the Great Western Railway. Housed in a magnificent Grade 2-listed rail-shed, STEAM tells the story of the steam train and how the town was transformed by the arrival of the railway. Our Swindon hotels make it easy to explore Swindon's Old Town, built before the trains came to town. Filled with shops and cafes, Swindon's Old Town has a charming village feel. Stroll the leafy pathways of the Lawn, a 50-acre park in Old Town.

Our hotels in Swindon are close to the town center, where you can browse for cheap designer goods at the McArthur Glen Designer Outlet Village before sampling one of the area's many restaurants. Many nearby villages feature quiet town greens and ancient thatched buildings-and a short drive out of town delivers you to one of Wiltshire's famous country pubs. Few parts of the country have a better selection of pubs in which to enjoy a pint of ale or a glass of cider and a delicious meal in front of an open fire.

Stay in our hotels in Swindon and explore the town's shops and Victorian heritage or head out to the surrounding countryside. In minutes you can be admiring the rolling terrain or exploring the Iron Age hill fort at Barbury Castle. With views extending well into the Cotswolds, Barbury lies on the edge of the rolling green hills of the Marlborough Downs.

If your travels take to Swindon, the Holiday Inn express is a great place to stay. Convenient location, reasonably priced and usual brand values for this product.. I use it regularly to break the [More] journey to Cardiff when I leave London late at night - much cheaper hotel and train fares. [Less]

Was welcomed by staff, loved the attention given by staff yo accommodate a separate area for us at breakfast as we were a large party of 12. The pool area was lovely, relaxed in jacuzzi and enjoyed [More] a few drinks at the bar, its even got a pool table. The rooms were fine, the only comment to improve would be to redecorate the windows and bedside lampshades as they look a little worn. [Less]

Friendly and efficient greeting from reception staff. Bar area was clean and comfortable with good service. Breakfast had good choice of food. 5 minutes from retail park/restaurants if you wanted [More] to eat out but would have to drive as you'd need to cross a dual carriageway. Good location next to M4 but traffic noise minimal. I would stay there again. [Less]
