Clean, but poor service.
When I called to add another night to our stay, I asked We drove up from Pasadena and stayed at that location.. That was the best stay. The staff was very accommodating. Even offered us a bottled
water for each of us when we arrived.
On our way, I called to add another day to the Porterville stay. I asked he desk clerk what the room rate was going to be. She said that she didn't know and that she was going to copy and paste the same rate, from my other day. Knowing that some days are cheaper than others, she told me that the rate was in my favor. That the rate will be the same and not higher. She said it with an attitude.
When she told me that, I couldn't believe it! That was an unprofessional remark to tell a guest. She sounded annoyed when I kept asking her what the rate was for that day. I was so mad when I got off the phone.
Customer service is a big deal in the hotel industry. That would be the only thing that would hold me back from staying there again. Otherwise, the room was clean.
In the morning, when we went down for breakfast, there was hardly any milk and yogurt in the cooler. The sausage tasted funny. The staff should smile and welcome them to breakfast. We had our 2 year old, and they would glare at us time to time. We left and ate at Burger King across the way. [Less]
