I'll be honest . . .
I was in Chicago to visit family. My cousin recommended this hotel because it was central to our (my husband and I) activities. My first thought was, "Ugh . . . okay." I haven't stayed in a Holiday
Inn for over ten years. My last impression was that it was a mediocre chain at best. I went with this hotel for convenience. Boy, was I in for a surprise. This particular hotel has been remodeled within the past year. Upon entering, the lobby was clean and inviting. The front desk staff was friendly and attentive. I can't remember what floor I was on, but it was one of the upper floors. In my mind, the hallway is one of the most heavily traveled parts of the hotel and is hard to maintain because of the wear and tear. The hallway was clean. It didn't have that worn out look. Maybe it was because of the remodel, but It was well kept. The room was spacious and clean. The layout of the bathroom was modern and unique. This may sound weird, but I really liked the shower. (It was a shower rather than a bathtub.) It was roomier than the traditional shower the sliding doors rather than a shower curtain. The shampoo and conditioner bottles that were supplied were from Bath [Less]
