Featured Houston Hotels

Houston is the largest city in Texas and fourth largest city in the United States. Due to its sprawling layout and unconventional city planning, it's not considered a major tourist destination.
However, guests of Houston hotels will find the city has plenty to offer - a revitalized downtown area with new light rail transportation, professional athletics clubs, a stellar performing arts scene and no shortage of family friendly activities.

Houston is one of five cities with resident companies in all of the major performing arts disciplines (opera, ballet, music and theater), and guests staying in our downtown Houston hotels will enjoy our proximity to the Houston Theatre District.
A short walk or Metro ride away is the Houston Museum District.
Here, you'll find the Houston Zoo, Contemporary Arts Museum, Holocaust Museum and famed Menil Collection. If you only have time for one museum during your Houston hotel stay, we recommend the Museum of Fine Arts Houston.
This airy and modern complex boasts great Impressionist, Post-Impressionist and Renaissance pieces and an outdoor sculpture garden by famed Japanese-American artist Isamu Noguchi.

If you prefer major sports to masterpieces, head to Reliant Park, Houston's premier sports, entertainment and convention complex.
Depending on the season, you can watch the Astros play on their home turf or catch your favorite band in concert.

Houston also offers a wide variety of attractions the whole family can enjoy, including the downtown Aquarium, Houston Zoo and Six Flags Splashdown.
The Houston Space Center is collaboration between NASA and Disney's Imagineering team and well worth the 30-minute drive from the city center.
Tour the world's best collection of spacesuits in Astronaut Gallery, experience life aboard a space station, or head to Blast Off Theatre to simulate a NASA rocket launch.

Who said Houston wasn't much of a tourist town?
With all these great attractions and entertainment venues, the hardest part might be deciding where you want to be and which of our great Holiday Inn Express hotels in Houston to choose.

I Keep Coming Back For More
By phlatin
Date of stay: June 30th through July 4th Room floor: 2nd floor Per my title, I have stayed at this location many, many times and each time I walk away feeling valued and appreciated for my [More] stay. The staff makes you feel comfortable and like you're staying with family/friends. They greet you as you enter and leave the premises. Nice personal touch by the front desk staff. Since I have reviewed this hotel several times with plenty of photos I am going to provide a quick overview of my stay. Feel free to visit previous posts for a much more detailed view of this hotel. Here are some pro's and con's of my stay: Pro's: Great value, hotel location, hotel room/grounds cleanliness, sense of security (person patrolling grounds at night), vending machine and washer/dryer on every floor. Con's: Bathroom towels, pillows and comforter need to be updated in my room. The soft pillows weren't as soft as the ones during my previous stays and the comforter seemed a bit worn. The bathroom towels weren't as plush as they typically are. I requested a room on a "high floor" and was placed on the 2nd floor. I specifically ask for a high floor because I want to offset any noise from the room above. Thankfully this was not an issue during my stay. But during my last night there were kids running up and down the hallway during the day. I can tolerate this type of noise during the day, but not after midnight. I am a Gold card member and requested a late check out. Per the terms and conditions I should be offered a late check out up to 2 to 3pm when contacting the front desk. When I requested the "latest check out possible" the female at the front desk responded with, "how about 1pm?" Thankfully we settled on 2pm and i was able to get a few more hours of sleep. The two issues notated above might be easily overlooked by other guests. I however frequent this location on a monthly basis and hold this hotel to some hight standards. I want to keep encouraging them to be one of the best Holiday Inn's that I have and continue to stay at. [Less]
Comfortable One night stay
By MsHope72
Good and Bad reviews: I have used this Hotel the year prior and some changes were made, but not many. Still no Hotel Shuttle nor Complimentary breakfast. As an IHG Member I was not greeted as one and [More] had to ask the receptionist to readjust my information. The overall service is welcoming and the staff very friendly. The exterior and interior quality of this Hotel is amazing. The back patio/deck has a light up water cascade that is very relaxing and pleasantly quiet. [Less]

Great place for a restful nights sleep
By Chris
After missing my connecting flight the Holiday Inn closest to the airport suggested this hotel. Blaize was terrific in getting me checked in and settled. His cheerfulness and upbeat tone helped [More] encourage me after a disappointing experience at the airport. I have often stayed at the Holiday Inn Express for business in other cities and the same warm welcome was extended here. Great place and great people! [Less]
Excellent Service
