Featured Santiago Hotels

Relax in one of our hotels in Santiago, within easy reach of the regal Plaza de Armas square and the bustling Mercado Central. In no time you'll be eating fresh seafood and sipping a citrusy pisco sour.

Walk or take the funicular up to Cerro San Cristóbal, topped by a statue of Christ, for views of Santiago's cityscape and the snow-capped Andes. Our Santiago hotels are near the colonial-era Plaza de Armas, a gathering place for chess players, shoe shiners and street entertainers. It's a great spot to watch the passing parade. If you've only time for one museum, make it the Chilean Museum of Pre-Columbian Art, which spotlights ancient South American cultures. Try to do your sightseeing on the weekends-most museums are free on Sunday but closed on Monday.

Join the throngs in the Mercado Central, a 19th-century market hall where fishmongers lure you to their good-value marisquerías (seafood stands). It's easy to reach the historic center from our Santiago hotels. Here you can take your pick of little hole-in-the-wall picadas. These family-run eateries dish up Chilean comfort food like hearty bean stews and seafood empanadas (pastries). Santiago's best deal is the menú del día, a set lunch menu. For late-night partying and pisco sours, hit the cafés, bars and discos in the bohemian Bellavista neighborhood. Take a breather in the hilltop gardens of Cerro Santa Lucía, dotted with palms, sculptures and fountains. Our Santiago hotels are a quick hop from Parque Quinta Normal, where the locals go picnicking on weekend afternoons.

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Santiago to plug in to the city's non-stop buzz. Come in January for jazz festivals and in July for colorful parades and parties of the Feast Day of the Virgen del Carmen.

Just passing through

My wife and I were at the end of a two-week holiday in Chile, having attended the dedication of the new Baha'i House of Worship in Santiago and having spent a few days in the Atacama Desert, and were [More] due to catch a flight the following morning. We chose this hotel more as a matter of convenience than anything else - and it is just across the road from the airport building. I should disclose that we would not normally choose a hotel such as this that is out of our usual budget range, but convenience won the day. The staff were friendly and helpful. Check-in and check-out were quick and efficient; the room was clean and comfortable and well insulated against noise from outside - so no disturbance from aircraft taking off or from the road traffic to the airport. The dining room provided a good dinner, served by a pleasant and attentive server. But the breakfast was not that exciting. The hot food (scrambled egg with various things mixed in) had been largely consumed by 8 a.m., what was left was cool, and the supplies were not quickly replenished. Having said that, our overall experience at the hotel was fine, the staff did their work well, and we were able stroll across to the airport in good time to check in for our flight. [Less]

excellent location at SCL airport
Very comfortable hotel just in front of airport terminal. Perfect room, wonderful bathroom. Very nice breakfast room. We could breakfast at 5 AM in order to check in at airline desk at 6 AM. More [More] expensive than downtown similar hotels but very useful for its location. [Less]

Great service, great location...!

The hotel has three separate towers, each offering a different level of comfort. The one on the corner of Isidora and Vitacura is the VIP tower, which is top notch; the middle tower is a good value, [More] with good plumbing, nice, moveable flatscreen TV with as many satellite channels as the VIP tower; the third tower, unfortunately, though providing comfortable bedding, suffers from plumbing problems, such as water constantly going from hot to cold and back to hot again, and a limited amount of TV channels. Having said that, I love the friendly treatment by the staff, the breakfast buffet is good, and the location in the "El Golf" area a big plus. Overall a great choice of hotel. [Less]
