Featured Beijing Hotels

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Despite the modern façade, the city's endless array of historic attractions is the real draw here.
One could spend days, if not their entire Beijing hotel stay, exploring its beautiful palaces, temples and landscapes. Choose your Holiday Inn Express® hotel in Beijing wisely, and you'll get the most out of your trip to this fascinating city.

Beijing's simple grid-like layout and abundance of public transportation make it easy to navigate.
However, the city is heavily congested with traffic.
Your best bet is to focus on one area of Beijing at a time.
Dong Cheng's central location and numerous attractions make it a great place to start.
This district is home to Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China, Temple of Confucius and the Forbidden City.
This "city within a city" was the private residence of Ming and Qing emperors and their families for more than 500 years.
A good portion of the city is in disrepair (and closed to the public), but the grand palaces, hallways and courtyards that remain are sure to impress.
South of Tiananmen, you'll find the Temple of Heaven, where Chinese emperors used to perform religious ceremonies.
Today, the temple serves as a tourist attraction and large public space, and you're more likely to see Tai Chi performed in mass on the front lawn than any ancient rituals.

Beijing's universities and the high-tech industries of ZhongGuanCun (dubbed "China's Silicon Valley") can be found north of the city in the Haidian district.
Haidian is also home to the Summer Palace and its magnificent gardens.
Of course, no Beijing hotel stay is complete without a trip to the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The views from the popular Badaling section are worth the crowds and tourist kitsch.

If you prefer the hustle and bustle of modern day Beijing, don't worry.
The city offers plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options too.
Load up on souvenirs at the famous Panjiayuan Market, then follow the glow of red lanterns to the snack shops of Gui Jie (Ghost Street) for inexpensive Chinese dumplings and Peking duck.
If you're truly daring, venture to the Wangfujing Night Market and sample local delicacies like scorpions, sea cucumbers and deep-friend grasshoppers.
Beijing nightlife can accommodate just about any traveler's taste.
Enjoy cocktails and twilight boat rides on Houhai Lake, trendy dance clubs in the Sanlitun district, and traditional Beijing Opera is the city's theatres and tea houses.

Book one for our hotels in Beijing today and start planning your trip to this truly unique destination.

Comfortable bed and great breakfast.
By J.D.
General speaking, the hardware of the hotel is good and most services provided by the hotel are good. Some of them are actually excellent, like that the receptionist was very kind, the breakfast [More] buffet was great. [Less]
Great Staff and Really Nice Hotel
By DiegoC82
The Hotel is really nice. The staff really friendly and the consierge was really helpful. However if you are going for turisting, it is a bit far from the sights (what isn't in Beijing) and about a [More] 10 minute walk from the closest metro stop. Great stay. [Less]
Great staff terrible air conditioning

Great staff terrible air conditioning The staff were great and helpful. Good location but do not stay here in summer as the air conditioning fixed at 26 degrees Celsius by owner . [Less]

Needed to be improved in certain areas.
First of all, as a five-star hotel, there is no designated area for IHG Rewards Club member to check in and check out. This is my first time ever to encounter in an Intercontinental hotel that does [More] not have that check-in counter. I feel very dispointed since my status is not recognized and I was not greeted as an plantinum member. Of course, there were no welcoming gifts/ points offered as well. Second of all, when I was checking out I had to wait to be in the line to check out, the situation was chaotic. Once again, this can be easily managed by having a designated rewards member check-in area. Third, some areas of the swimming pool were restricted for no reasons. There were only 4 treadmills for running. Again, come on this is a five-star hotel but only offers limited treadmills??? The hotel is sharing all the gym, cardio and pool areas with an outside company, every time I was going in to do some exercise I need to checked by the staff, which was really a hassle. [Less]
Pretty good experience

Excellent hotel

It's the best hotel in that area in Beijing. Internet is reasonably good for today's travelers. Location is convenient and easy to get out. [Less]
Pleasantly surprised
By Serene88
Although directions to the hotel were not very clear from the website, after arriving from the Metro we found the hotel without too much trouble (come out of the Metro and turn right pass McDonalds). [More] There are several shops within easy walking distance, and a shopping mall just a longer walk or short taxi ride away. IHG member recognition was good, staff friendly (apart from the rather sour-faced egg chef at breakfast) and there is even a mini gym just by the lobby area - didn't expect that! Lobby public computers need updating as I couldn't access the programme I wanted due to out-of-date programmes and swtiching it to use English was troublesome. Out of the three computers available, one was not working. Overall though, extremely happy to have stayed at this hotel as the location was good for where I needed to be. Would definitely stay again if I needed to be that side of Beijing. [Less]
short trip stay
By peterpan101
I arrived late and leave early. However, hotel has sufficient staff on duty so my check-in and check-out is very efficient. Same as past experience, I had a good sleep in this hotel and room is [More] clean and comfortable. [Less]
