Featured Beijing Hotels

Beijing is the capital of the People's Republic of China and one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Despite the modern façade, the city's endless array of historic attractions is the real draw here.
One could spend days, if not their entire Beijing hotel stay, exploring its beautiful palaces, temples and landscapes. Choose your Holiday Inn Express® hotel in Beijing wisely, and you'll get the most out of your trip to this fascinating city.

Beijing's simple grid-like layout and abundance of public transportation make it easy to navigate.
However, the city is heavily congested with traffic.
Your best bet is to focus on one area of Beijing at a time.
Dong Cheng's central location and numerous attractions make it a great place to start.
This district is home to Tiananmen Square, the National Museum of China, Temple of Confucius and the Forbidden City.
This "city within a city" was the private residence of Ming and Qing emperors and their families for more than 500 years.
A good portion of the city is in disrepair (and closed to the public), but the grand palaces, hallways and courtyards that remain are sure to impress.
South of Tiananmen, you'll find the Temple of Heaven, where Chinese emperors used to perform religious ceremonies.
Today, the temple serves as a tourist attraction and large public space, and you're more likely to see Tai Chi performed in mass on the front lawn than any ancient rituals.

Beijing's universities and the high-tech industries of ZhongGuanCun (dubbed "China's Silicon Valley") can be found north of the city in the Haidian district.
Haidian is also home to the Summer Palace and its magnificent gardens.
Of course, no Beijing hotel stay is complete without a trip to the Great Wall of China, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.
The views from the popular Badaling section are worth the crowds and tourist kitsch.

If you prefer the hustle and bustle of modern day Beijing, don't worry.
The city offers plenty of shopping, dining and entertainment options too.
Load up on souvenirs at the famous Panjiayuan Market, then follow the glow of red lanterns to the snack shops of Gui Jie (Ghost Street) for inexpensive Chinese dumplings and Peking duck.
If you're truly daring, venture to the Wangfujing Night Market and sample local delicacies like scorpions, sea cucumbers and deep-friend grasshoppers.
Beijing nightlife can accommodate just about any traveler's taste.
Enjoy cocktails and twilight boat rides on Houhai Lake, trendy dance clubs in the Sanlitun district, and traditional Beijing Opera is the city's theatres and tea houses.

Book one for our hotels in Beijing today and start planning your trip to this truly unique destination.

Value for Money but don't expect great service
Avoid going to the wrong Holiday Inn which is about a few hundred meters away. The taxi driver and I do not know the exact location and ended up in the wrong Holiday Inn. There were 3 hotel staff at [More] the front desk and a guest was before me engaging one of the staffs. The other 2 were busy chatting so I waited my turns. When I presented my passport, they told me my name was not in the system and I might be in the wrong Holiday Inn. I was confused at first but he explained that there are 2 Holiday Inns in the area and pointed in a general direction and said is over there. Right after that another of his colleague began to engage him in a conversation. It was almost midnight and I was tired after a whole day of travel and really have no idea where or how to get there. So I clarified again about how to get there, my reply was go out turn right walk about 500m and follow the road. I went out turn right and saw a road leading to a car park. In the end I wondered around for about 30min with my luggage before I saw the other Holiday Inn. I was pretty upset with this experience. [Less]

Stay in the hotel last week, other than the morning taxi a nightmare, others are excellent. Staff are very polite and helpful. I was dinning in the hotel restaurant and noticed a very special bowl [More] hotel used for a dish, out of curiosity I asked restaurant staff can I buy one, the staff took it seriously and really went and checked any new stock in the store and informed me they indeed have stock the next day. You guys did a great job to make a good customer experience by going extra miles. Special thanks to Ms Guo, keep up the good service. [Less]

New hotel in Sanlitun

Location. Location and excellent club service. Only chain hotel around this area. Do not expect here the typical Intercontinental service. Nobody goes the extra mile. Not even the rooms have the [More] wow factor. They wanted even to charge a deposit per day equivalent the cost of the night! Swimming pool and many other areas of the hotel were closed. [Less]
The Best Intercontinental Hotel
By DPvan
I am a very frequent traveler traveling up to 3 out of 4 weeks, have seen many hotels and experienced different kinds of service around the world. When it comes to this Hotel all expectations are [More] exceeded. The local staff in particular go out of their way to provide an excellent customer experience, even if things in this new Hotel are not all perfect, their willingness to serve and their customer focus makes up for everything. The staff remembers guests by name and remember our preferences so that they can provide a unique and personalized experience. I would recommend anyone traveling to Beijing to stay at this hotel and experience something outstanding. [Less]
