Featured Berlin Hotels

Today's Berlin is a modern and culturally vibrant city, brimming with beautiful architecture, world-class arts and a thriving nightlife scene.
Not to mention, a profusion of museums, monuments and attractions to explore during your Holiday Inn Express® Berlin hotel stay.

Few vestiges remain of the wall that once divided the German capital, and visitors move freely about the city, often unaware which side they are on. Perhaps the most impressive feat is the speed in which Berlin rebuilt itself.
The once desolate Potsdamer Platz is now a bustling corporate square with shops, restaurants and luxury condominiums.
Catch the latest IMAX movie or German art house film at the Sony Center, a massive retail and entertainment complex located in the heart of Potsdamer Platz.

The Mitte district, formerly part of East Berlin, has become Berlin's city center and a major tourist draw.
The tree-lined Unter den Linden leads to the Pariser Platz promenade and towering Brandenburg Gate - one of Berlin's most treasured and beautiful monuments, especially at night when the gates light up.
The Reichstag is only a block away, and the 360-degree view from the glass dome roof of this German parliament building is worth the long wait in line.

While you're in the neighborhood, check out Tiergarten Park.
Here you'll find the Berlin Zoo, Berlin Philharmonic and some of the most beautiful green spaces and walking paths in the city. The Mitte is also home to the East Berlin art scene, Auguststrasse.
If you're looking for ways to save during your Berlin hotel stay, you'll be happy to know that most of the galleries offer free admission.

The Western Zone of Berlin is considered the more commercial side of the city.
It also hosts the majority of Berlin's businesses, conventions and festivals.
The Ku'Damm (short for Kurfürstendamm) is a popular avenue for its upscale shops, restaurants, bars and nightclubs, as well as the greatest concentration of luxury hotels in Berlin.
Not too far from the Ku'Damm is Schloss Charlottenburg, the largest palace in Berlin.
Despite being burnt to the ground during World Word II, Charlottenburg has been fully restored to its Baroque glory, and both the palace and the grounds are a popular tourist stop.

You many not see it all in one visit, but our Holiday Inn Express Berlin hotels can put you near the major attractions on your list.

Latest Berlin Hotel Reviews

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn on Prenzlauer Allee in East Berlin for many years, and I have often recommended it to friends and relatives. Why? First, because I not only love Berlin, I love [More] East Berlin - and Prenzlauer Berg is one of its most interesting areas, with many excellent restaurants, parks and art galleries. Second, the hotel's transport links are superb. There is a tram stop outside the front door - and to me East Berlin means trams. There is also an S-Bahn station just down the road. I have got to know many of the staff over the years, and they are always friendly and efficient. Oh, and the breakfast is always first rate. I could go on, but I hope you get the picture. [Less]
Berlin marathon weekend stay
By Dennis SP
This was our FIRST ever visit to the wondeful city of Berlin and we stayed at the brilliant Hotel Prenzl Alee. After a long walk from Alexandra platz train station. the street were closed for [More] the Roller blade Marathon, so no buses or trams. Once at the Prenz Alee the Staff, whose English was much better than our German booked us in in no time at all, then helped us to attach our devices to the Hotel's wifi. My friend Rob completed the Berlin marathon in under 6hrs and once back at the Hotel the staff were more than happy to bring our "refreshments to our table in the lounge as Rob [Less]

Great staff terrible heating

Rooms very stuffy due to one temperature sensor for entire hotel. Breakfast got a bit repetitive. Staff friendly and helpful. [Less]
Great experience over a short stay
By sankarshan
Chose this one keeping in mind the walking distance to the InterContinental - which had an event on. The flight times out of Abu Dhabi meant that we arrived way to early - even by "early check-in" [More] standards. The staff treated this as a matter of course - checked us in and while we went our merry way to the event, there were assurances of actually checking in earlier. And yes indeed - we did get our rooms quickly. For a traveler doing a long-haul into a new city - a hotel which takes this first step for customer experience is a great thing. The rooms are tidy and neatly laid out. Well light as well - as much as the cloudy days this week could offer. The 7th floor room was on the side of the main street - so there's the usual early morning "city coming to life" noises - but that's actually great for me. The breakfast has a good spread and starts right on time. The connectivity to the property is reasonable and well documented. For a short stay, business or, tourist trip - I'd recommend the hotel. From the Hotel you can walk to many highlights around. The Potsdamer platz is only 800 meters away. Easily to find bar and restaurant nearby. [Less]
Great service and good location.
By LRoberts
Location is idea. Situated in the hip new start up area and only a 10 min walk from check point charlie. Anhalter station gives fast links to Berlin centre. Rail journey from Schonefeld Airport took [More] less than 1 hour and only cost €3.30. Hotel staff were fantastic and very helpful. Fluent in multiple languages and even helped me improve my German which was much appreciated. Being a Rewards member was a real advantage with extra points for my stay and cheaper drinks at the bar. Room was at the high standard I have come to expect from HI. Comfortable an well equipped. Sky channels were a welcome bonus as most hotels in europe just supply 24 english news. Only negative was that breakfast was slightly limited and coffee wasn't the best. Needed a faster toasting machine as there was sight a queue. Still was better than most hotel breakfasts. Overall a great stay in an amazing city. [Less]
First stay in Berlin
By mzzy11
Female staff over the counter was exceptionally welcoming and made me feel good on my first day arriving in Berlin. Sorry I did not manage to get her name but she is blond and has above-shoulder [More] length hair. (terrible that I did not get her name) but please if Holiday Inn Berlin City Centre can compliment her as necessary as she was very pleasant, patient and professional. This was also my first time staying in the 'Express' chain of Holiday Inn hotels and was quite surprised that there was no mini-fridge, wardrobe or ironing board available at all. But since I was there for just 2 nights it did not bother me as much. It was a pleasant stay but a little far off from Potsdamer Platz - about 20mins walk, if you're a fast walker. And again surprised that another Holiday Inn hotel chain in Germany that did not provide the basic necessity of a toothbrush kit. I can't say that it is the case for all Holiday Inn Hotel chains though as the ones I have been in Australia and Asia provide complete toiletries kit. It just baffles me. [Less]
