Featured Rome Hotels

Stay in our Holiday Inn Express® Rome hotels to explore the treasures of Italy's historic capital. In the centro storico, the ancient heart of the city, you can follow in Julius Caesar's footsteps in the crumbling Forum or sip an espresso with the locals at Caffè Sant'Eustachio.

As a guest of our hotels in Rome, you'll have easy access to both ancient and modern attractions. Have your photo taken with costumed gladiators in the Colosseum, where real-life gladiators once fought to the death. The riches of the Vatican include a double dose of Michelangelo's most iconic artworks: the meltingly lovely Pietà sculpture in St. Peter's Basilica and the painted ceiling of the Sistine Chapel, where Adam stretches his fingers towards God. (Dodge the Vatican's long entry lines by visiting at lunchtime.) Entry to most of Rome's temples and churches is free.

The Eternal City's timeworn monuments anchor the city's hot spots. The streets surrounding the handsomely preserved Pantheon are filled with restaurants and boutiques. At Piazza Navona, you can admire baroque churches and fountains, then pause for a bit of prime people-watching. Everyone, from jetsetters to local students, strolls through this square. Our Rome hotels are also near Trastevere, a medieval neighborhood with a percolating nightlife. Pick a homey trattoria along the cobblestoned streets and try Roman classics like braised artichokes and creamy fettuccini Alfredo. Romans eat dinner late, so make time for an afternoon gelato break to savor some of the world's best ice cream.

Book our Holiday Inn Express Rome hotels and explore the city sights on the easy and economical Metro. For the price of a ticket, a ride on the Rome subway delivers you to ancient ruins within minutes of our hotels in Rome.

Overnight after arrival from USA.
By JTLavery
After arriving from USA and meeting fiancé we did not want to drive all the way to Naples/Sirrento so we stayed at IHG Rome east. The location allowed us to avoid Rome traffic in the morning. [More] Shopping at adjacent supermarket allowed us to grab the essentials that you can't pack. Breakfast was excellent after sleeping in and prior to the drive. The room was small but clean and comfortable, as I do trust and expect IHG to always provide. [Less]

Great hotel and service
By Sascha82
Stayed for 3 nights in early March. First time in a Holiday Inn Express branded hotel (have stayed in regular Holiday Inns) Hotel was great, room was very spacious and the express breakfast was [More] much better than I expected. Mrs Federica B. at the front desk was excellent during check-in, offered me bonus points or a drink (I chose the points which were added in a timely manner) and answered all questions I had at the time. Mr Sandro in the breakfast area was also outstanding. The first morning he saw that I got a cappuccino from the automatic machine and immediately offered to get me a freshly prepared one from the bar. He also made sure the following days that everyone had proper coffee and freshly squeezed juice if they wished for it. While the location is far out from the main sights of the city, of which I was aware when booking, the great staff rland comfortable rooms made this a pleasant stay [Less]

Excellent location
By David
Hotel is close enough to the centre of Rome and far enough way to enable you to have a relaxing break. The hotel has excellent facilities including a pool and spa. Use them if you get the chance. [More] There is a small bar area. You will be served by a member of the friendly bar staff and enjoy your drink in a relaxing and convivial atmosphere. [Less]
Great Mother's Day weekend stay!
By John
Nice hotel out of the city. Family enjoyed the hotel and area, Checkin process was a little rocky, but was made up for with room upgrade and late check out, so I was able to look passed that issue. [More] Staff is great and tries to help you out as much as they can, but in my opinion, may be somewhat short staffed. There were numerous times I tried to call the desk and no one answered, and also many times that there were crowds of people in front of the desk with no real organized line to get help. This was somewhat frustrating because people cut in line. They were busy, I understand, and once with a representative they were all very helpful. Highly recommend this hotel. [Less]
A home away from home in Rome
By robbie
We stayed one night at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Rome after a 16 day cruise. It was such a wonderfully comfortable place. Our shore excursion from the ship ended at the city center where we took a [More] taxi to the hotel. It was not far. The grounds were just lovely. Unbelievable flowers and trees in the middle of a massive city! We were greeted at the entrance where the bellhop helped us with our luggage (we had so much!).He was friendly and spoke English! The check-in staff was great, helping us figure out what to do with our one day in Rome. The room was huge! We overlooked the tennis courts. The bed was very comfortable. Remember to pack your electric plug converter! Shower was great with superb products. We ate dinner in the restaurant. It was very good. Breakfast was a wonderful buffet. We took the shuttle to the airport. It was nice. [Less]
