Beds are comfy and the room fairly clean. Bathroom appeared fairly recently refitted with walk-in shower; toilets and taps etc all Grohe so good quality. Towels large and fairly soft/fluffy. There
was a small anti-slip mat for the shower tray. The hairdryer was decent - a proper one, not just a hot air hose attached to a box in the bathroom.
Our room overlooked the car park, but there was no traffic noise. Unfortunately, there seemed to be little sound insulation between rooms - it sounded like one of the neighbours was actually in our bathroom when he was taking a shower, using the WC etc. We also heard clearly the conversation la in neighbouring rooms, and doors slamming when people left their rooms.
The breakfast buffet was reasonable, but frequently ran out of fried eggs. £15 is perhaps a tad expensive, so I wouldn’t often eat breakfast at the hotel (there’s a small supermarket just around the corner where I usually buy a pastry or porrosge pot for my breakfast). The lobby bar has an interesting choice of gins and a range of Fever Tree tonics.
I didn’t visit the fitness centre but my partner did and said it was both good and quiet (late Saturday morning).
The hotel is located very closely to the Airport park and ride; you can take the bus without parking a car and the ticket is £2.70 per adult.
It was great to receive free parking this time rather than £5 per night as previously charged (despite the barrier being up on those previous occasiona.
My second 2-night stay in this hotel and it was fine. Not as good as my first stay, and I might look elsewhere next time for a change, but I’d certainly still recommend this hotel if you need something convenient for the airport, or in the North Norwich region, especially if it’s on a good deal.
