Overall, when I stayed on the 9th floor in early December 2016 I found the rooms large, well furnished, comfortable and quiet. However, I was woken around 2:00am on my first night (a Friday) by a
strong smell of cigarette smoke, then pot, coming through the air heater (non smoking room) that I'd left switched on - this took at least 2 hours to clear after I turned the heater off. I didn't alert the staff at that point because I didn't want further disruption.
At 10:00 the next morning, this time with the heating off, I started noticing the smell again in the shower room, spreading to the rest of the room. This time, I didn't hesitate to inform management.
The manager himself checked my room, and at my request gave me another room. I learned later that the pot smoking guest had been promptly asked to leave - after being being charged an additional £160! [Less]
