Superior Hotel Staff
By Adventurous Seniors
We had a delightful experience staying in the Candlewood Suites in Mobile, Alabama, and in Birmingham, Alabama. This was our first time staying in Candlewood hotels, but it will not be the last. We [More] have told everyone while traveling and back at home what wonderful accommodations we had. We also wanted to give kudos to Mary Beth in Mobile and Tiffany in Birmingham for their professional and friendly service at the front desk. They treated us like "long lost friends" and met our every need. Mary Beth enrolled us in the IHG Rewards Program and explained all the benefits. She and Mary Beth both directed us to points of interest in the areas and gave us good travel pointers. Both of these young women certainly present the "face of customer service" that will make Candlewood a success in the travel industry. Both hotels were clean, comfortable, and conveniently located. Thank you for two of our best nights of our trip. [Less]

Cleanliness and great service
By Skater61
The stay was impressive. I was not crazy about those ribbed towels that they use and personally prefer both a conditioner and shampoo to the combined container. Pools would be nice, although in [More] reality I seldom stay in one spot long enough to use them. But if I take my grandchildren for extended stays, I would definitely prefer a pool. Other than that, privacy, respect, staff courtesy and cleanliness were excellent. [Less]
a definite place to stay work
By bob 1253
I do stay there frequently, and they always have a smile and always thank you for selecting their hotel, it is really nice to have a hotel thank you for staying there. I can say that I do stay at [More] allot hotel and hardly do I get a thank you for choosing their hotel. Pelham is just a bunch of great people from checking in to breakfast staff to the check out staff and even the ownership says hi and thank you. [Less]

Easy Access to BHM
By Driving North
The hotel is not new, but was being renovated. However, the free one week airport parking and shuttle service to BHM easily overcame the renovation needed (and being done). The room was decent and [More] comfortable for a short sleep before an early flight. [Less]
It was good but not great!
By Ghislaine83
I booked my room not knowing the area too well. When I first arrived, I wasn't expecting the Holiday Inn to be where it's located. I guess you can say it's not in the best part of town. However, that [More] didn't bother me too much. I was greeted in a very friendly manner by the front desk. The lady was very nice, helpful and acknowledged my status as being an elite IHG member. My room was very clean, the bathroom was clean and well stocked, I loved their hot breakfast (as well as the staff who served my drinks and spent a little time talking with me and my sisters). The hotel was under construction/being renovated so there were a lot of areas that were a bit dirty and dusty. I know when renovation is complete, this hotel will definitely be at a 5! Overall, I enjoyed my stay. [Less]
