Featured Phoenix Hotels

Phoenix is the cultural and economic heart of the Southwest, offering guests of our Holiday Inn Express® Phoenix hotels plenty of reasons to get out and explore this fascinating city during their stay. From rich Native American culture and historic neighborhoods to premier golf resorts and ultra-modern sports stadiums, Phoenix doesn't disappoint!

Despite being a largely car-centric city, guests of our downtown Phoenix hotels will find plenty to do and see within walking distance - or a quick light rail commute - of their hotel.

There's an amazing collection of Native American arts and crafts at the Phoenix Art Museum, and Symphony Hall hosts both the Phoenix Symphony and Arizona Opera.

Spend the day wandering around Historic Heritage Square, where you'll find beautiful, ornate turn of the century houses and quaint shops and restaurants.
Be sure to check out the Rosson House Museum's collection of Victorian curiosities before heading to the Arizona Science Center for more modern-day exhibits.

Phoenix's arid climate and barren landscape may make it an odd choice for destination travelers, but you'll find the Sonoran Desert is actually one of the area's biggest draws.
If you have time during your Phoenix hotel stay, hike the trails at Phoenix Mountain Park or get in a few holes at the Boulders, where rugged terrain, dramatic rock formations and frequent bobcat and coyote sightings are just a few of the challenges in store on these courses.
For a truly unique experience, head to the Pueblo Grande Museum and Archaeological Park.
Built on the ruins of a Hohokam village, you'll find an amazing collection of Hopi Kachina dolls and Native American pottery.

Another worthwhile venture - checking out Phoenix's celebrated sports venues. The Arizona Cardinals' University of Phoenix Stadium is perhaps the most famous with its retractable roof and rollout field, while Chase Field, home to the Diamondbacks, boasts a swimming pool right off centerfield!
You can keep cool while watching the Phoenix Suns dominate the court at U.S. Airways Center, then enjoy downtown nightlife, all before returning to your Phoenix hotel.

With locations throughout the city, there's a Holiday Inn Express Phoenix hotel to suit just about every traveler's needs.
So whether you are in town for business or leisure, seeking cultural immersion or just modern conveniences and attractions, we've got your covered.

Quality Room, Excellent Staff

Like everywhere in Phoenix in March, rooms are spendy. But great staff and wonderful king suite, quiet and very comfortable bed. Quick shuttle to airport terminals. Recommended. [Less]

Comfortable and convenient
By twodevilles
This was our first stay at this property. We landed here for a two-night stay through IHG Rewards program. The staff is friendly and helpful here. As an "extended stay" style room, there is a full [More] size refrigerator, 2-burner cook top, dishwasher, and microwave in every room. Plates, utensils, bowls, pans are provided. There are 2 gas grills outdoor, in the swimming pool area, and grilling utensils available. So some simple meals can be prepared here to save time/money dining out. Bed and furnishings are very comfortable. Linens and towels are nice. Curtains and carpet are a bit ugly. The pool and hot tub are acceptable, nothing special. This is the area most lacking for cleanliness. Smokers leave butts and trash around. Pool towels were in short supply. Some pool side furniture looks old and worn. Very nice fitness room with all of the equipment you expect. Laundry facility is also very good. Location and fellow guests are quiet. Best rooms are on the top floor, odd-numbers (backside). Shopping and restaurants are nearby. Highly recommend the Walgreens - HUGE selection of liquor/beer/wine, food, clothing, and everything else you would expect to find here. We will consider this property for future stays. [Less]

Nice quick stay for Spring Training
By halogirl
We have been out to Tempe three times for spring training. This was our first time at this property. We really enjoyed it! It was great to have a suite with a couch bed, as we traveled with my father [More] and he used that. We loved the kitchen, and cooked breakfast every morning. The room was clean and fully stocked with amenities as well. We appreciated the free WiFi too. The only downside was our room was not ready when we checked in, after a 6 hour drive which was a bummer. They called us when it was ready, we waited about 40 minutes in the car with the AC on. Also the coffee provided is small, and you have to pay for more. I think the coffee should be free. We will likely stay here again next year, as the value and location were great! [Less]
