Stayed here for business last week and overall, it was a great stay. The hotel is clean and the staff is friendly. I liked the breakfast and the breakfast hours. Both worked well with my work
schedule. However, I did not appreciate being subjected to CNN and nothing else while I was trying to eat at 6:15 in the mornings. I can't stomach CNN at any hour, let alone that early.
When I requested they please change the channel or turn it off, they could not do so, though one staff member tried.
The battery died in my rental car and without getting into all the sordid details about how the rental car company and my own insurance didn't help, no one at the hotel had any jumper cables. Maybe they should keep a set on site for just such needs.
When I checked out, they had a crew working on replacing an area of the carpet near the elevator. They had prepared no path for patrons to navigate to get off the 2nd floor with luggage. My husband and I approached the area, but none of the workers spoke English. They attempted to help and my husband nearly landed on his face because of the uneven flooring. Then I came through behind him and stepped right into the carpet glue that could not be seen. My shoe is still sticky. That was a lawsuit waiting to happen. I just hope no one else had issues with it.
The internet was down the day we arrived and we did not get service until the following evening. Any more than that and we would have had to find other accommodations since my husband needed to work remotely during our stay.
Other than that, the room was nicely equipped and appointed for our needs. [Less]
