Book your stay at one of our Holiday Inn Express® Sacramento hotels and experience the timeless charm and modern appeal of California's capital city.
Guests of our downtown Sacramento hotels will enjoy convenient access to the State Capitol area. Spend the day wandering around the beautiful gardens, groves and memorials of Capitol Park or head to the Capitol Museum to learn all about California's rich culture and history. The Capitol Building itself is an attraction with soaring Corinthian columns and an impressive dome structure that was modeled after the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. While you're in the area, check out the Crocker Art Museum and Caesar Chavez Park. Local bands play every Friday in the summer as part of the Concerts in the Park series, so if you're visiting one of our Sacramento hotels then, you're set on evening entertainment.
Next, head to Old Sacramento, where you'll find everything from landmark buildings and horse-drawn stagecoaches to dining and entertainment options. Highlights include the beautifully restored locomotives of the California State Railroad Museum and the tunnels of the Old Sac Underground. History buffs will also want to check out Sutter's Fort, the pioneer settlement from which Sacramento sprang, and the State Indian Museum. For a truly unique experience, book one of our Sacramento hotels during Gold Rush Days, an annual Labor Day festival that sees the streets of Old Sacramento turned into the Wild West yet again.
If you prefer present-day diversions; don't worry. This city has something for you too. Catch the Sacramento Kings play at Arco Arena or a big name concert at the Sacramento Convention Center. There's dozens of restaurants within walking distance of your Sacramento hotel, from Asian fusion to continental with flair. The area around J Street is known for its upscale clubs and lounges, but there are also plenty of bars and brewhouses to satisfy all your nightlife needs.
Start planning what is sure to be an unforgettable trip and book your stay in our Holiday Inn Express Sacramento hotels today.
Quiet getaway a little hard to find. Easy access right off freeway, but buried behind a shopping center. Staff very friendly and helpful (including house keeping).[Less]
Home away from home.
My first business trip to Roseville was made a lot easier by the staff and facilities. I would not mind another trip to Roseville and definitely would not mind staying at this great place.
Just one night
I love the hotel because of the choice to do your own healthy cooking or eat out. There's a grocery store in the next parking lot. The staff is always pleasant.[Less]
Really nice place and its away from the big city life[Less]

Arrived late, left early for funeral. Very accommodating.
Really was not concerned about the domicile, working funeral prep issues. No negative vibes about the stay.[Less]

All great! But might look at restaurant operations.
We ate at the restaurant. My guess is operations need to be reviewed, all seemed a bit disjointed the evening we ate there...Dec 3. Slow service was one problem. Too many people on the cash register[More] running into each other. Waiters working the register??? My Caesar salad was tasty except the chicken was overdone, seemed not freshly cooked.[Less]
Having not stayed at Holiday Inn frequently except for some less than updated facilities, this hotel visit was a welcome change. Clean, updated, nice hotel and the room was nice as well. Will use[More] when I am in Sacramento for business.[Less]
Easy access to Old Sac and comfortable beds
The location of this hotel is perfect for access to the highway and also Old Sac. The doors are locked by 10pm for safety and the staff was friendly.
Our beds were comfy and the rooms were clean,[More] although, I do wish the rooms provided a mini fridge.[Less]
