Book your stay at one of our Holiday Inn Express® Sacramento hotels and experience the timeless charm and modern appeal of California's capital city.
Guests of our downtown Sacramento hotels will enjoy convenient access to the State Capitol area. Spend the day wandering around the beautiful gardens, groves and memorials of Capitol Park or head to the Capitol Museum to learn all about California's rich culture and history. The Capitol Building itself is an attraction with soaring Corinthian columns and an impressive dome structure that was modeled after the U.S. Capitol in Washington, D.C. While you're in the area, check out the Crocker Art Museum and Caesar Chavez Park. Local bands play every Friday in the summer as part of the Concerts in the Park series, so if you're visiting one of our Sacramento hotels then, you're set on evening entertainment.
Next, head to Old Sacramento, where you'll find everything from landmark buildings and horse-drawn stagecoaches to dining and entertainment options. Highlights include the beautifully restored locomotives of the California State Railroad Museum and the tunnels of the Old Sac Underground. History buffs will also want to check out Sutter's Fort, the pioneer settlement from which Sacramento sprang, and the State Indian Museum. For a truly unique experience, book one of our Sacramento hotels during Gold Rush Days, an annual Labor Day festival that sees the streets of Old Sacramento turned into the Wild West yet again.
If you prefer present-day diversions; don't worry. This city has something for you too. Catch the Sacramento Kings play at Arco Arena or a big name concert at the Sacramento Convention Center. There's dozens of restaurants within walking distance of your Sacramento hotel, from Asian fusion to continental with flair. The area around J Street is known for its upscale clubs and lounges, but there are also plenty of bars and brewhouses to satisfy all your nightlife needs.

Great for leisure, families
Stayed here for a wedding, along with most of the wedding guests. The air unit in the room is very loud, found out similar complaints from other guests. But the room was spacious and well appointed[More] for this level of hotel. Were disappointed with the amount of time it took to check in since most of the guests were trying to check in at 3pm, but we all had to leave at 4pm for the wedding...some of us were late. But overall a good place to stay with TONS of food and shopping options within walking distance.[Less]
Overall, a great place to stay at a very reasonable price.[Less]
Rude Front Desk
The front desk failed to leave a receipt under my door, which when I tried to get one from the front desk no one could be found. The sign said to call 0 on house phone for immediate assistance and[More] guess what, it rings for 15 solid minutes. Suddenly a very rude young lady comes out and instead of apologizing for the wait she cops an attitude and questions " what do you want". I want to be on time in order to catch my flight. Very rude and ignorant and unprofessional young lady[Less]
