I have stayed in many "Boutique Hotels" through the years, and usually expect to stay in a refurbished hotel with interesting interiors and good service. Hotel Indigo was even better. It is located
in a contemporary high rise and fits perfectly into the downtown high rise scene. The interior is decorated with "swanky" interiors with conversation-starting design elements, and modern clean elements.
The guest service staff were attentive, efficient and friendly, offering history of the area and stories to support the decor.
We stayed in the Indigo while attending a USC Orientation and it was a better price than any of the comparable hotels and convenient to Uber to the
Campus. We walked at night to restaurants and movies
and felt safe. There were plenty of other people walking on the well lit streets of the area.
The guest room was contemporary with crisp clean bedding, clean bathroom and plenty of plugs and ports for three of us recharging after the day.
My husband and I relaxed at the bar and enjoyed a few drinks and visiting with the other patrons. The bartender went out of his way to make my favorite drink just the way I like it.
The food was okay in the restaurant, but the service was fantastic.
My only complaints was the difficulty getting there...the construction in the area made Siri useless and trying to self-navigate was a joke. Hopefully, that will soon be corrected. We finally had success by calling the front desk and we were talked in. [Less]
