I made the reservation on line, Nowhere did I perceive that it was non-refundable. When my plans changed so that I arrived a day later, the 800 number customer service desk wouldn't help me. She did
however transfer me to the local hotel desk, who was able to change my reservation after I begged and pleaded.
So it was good that the local hotel desk clerk could help me, but it was bad 1) that the website didn't make it CLEAR I was renting at a non-refundable rate. And it was no special deal, it was full price, which is a LOT in my opinion. And it was bad 2) that the customer service number wouldn't help me.
The hotel itself was fine, with very comfortable beds. The bathroom was EXTREMELY well lit, shockingly so. [Less]
