Featured Gainesville Hotels

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Gainesville, Florida. In no time you'll be relaxing at an open-air concert and hiking up into the stands of the legendary University of Florida football stadium.

Guests of our Gainesville hotels can start exploring this university town from Bo Diddley Community Plaza, in pedestrian-friendly downtown. The centerpiece bandshell hosts frequent free concerts. On Wednesdays the plaza overflows with vendors selling fruit, veggies and fresh-baked bread at the Union Street Farmer's Market. Our hotels in Gainesville are near the University of Florida, home of the Gators football team. Climb into the stands for a bird's-eye view of the football field at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, known to Gators fans as "The Swamp." Afterward, you can visit the delicate butterflies thriving in the on-campus Florida Museum of Natural History.

Our hotels in Gainesville are near the shops and restaurants filling the streets around Bo Diddley Plaza. Boutiques in the Union Street Station mall sell hip clothes and vintage duds, but if you're looking for Gators-branded gear, head to the campus bookstore. Follow the university students' lead and grab a quick sandwich and coffee from a downtown cafe and stake out a grassy spot in the sun in Bo Diddley Plaza. At night, guests of our Gainesville hotels can jam to indie-rock or party to trendy hits in the city's student-fueled live music and dance clubs. For a more laidback evening, unwind at a chic cocktail lounge or genteel British-style pub with a pint.

Book our Holiday Inn Express hotels in Gainesville to enjoy the exuberant student culture downtown and the nature reserves just outside of the city. It's a short drive to Paynes Prairie, where graceful egrets and herons swoop over viewing platforms and walking paths wind through steamy marshes and lush forests.

Great service and good location
By Onlythebest
We have stayed at this hotel several times and have always enjoyed our stays. The only issue we had with our stay this time is that we had to stay in a smoking room because they only allow pets in [More] smoking rooms which can be very irritating to nonsmokers....otherwise clean room, friendly welcome (with cookies), and good as expected breakfast choices (except for the omelets instead of just staying with their scrambled eggs). We will stay here again especially if we are not traveling with pets. [Less]
