My family and I, including our fur babies evacuated our home in Bradenton to flee from hurricane Irma. We had been on the road for hours and we weren't hopeful about finding a room in Florida.
Fortunately, my mom called the Holiday Inn in Ocala and they had one room left and they accepted animals. It truly felt like a miracle. Laurence was the front desk attendant and he was there to greet us when we arrived with our dogs in tow. We stayed for two nights. During that time Laurence and Sherry worked through the night around the clock. They were kind and calm during a very stressful time. They were willing to help and most of all they stayed through a hurricane for guest- people they didn't know. There was also a gentleman who stayed through the hurricane from the dining room too. He too was ready to serve and help. I cannot thank the staff at the Holiday Inn enough; they made a very difficult situation so much more bearable by their positive, helpful and compassionate attitudes. We thank them
from the bottom of our hearts. Sincerely, Jennifer, Kathy and Phil. And (Simon (Great Pyrenees's), Oakley (Golden Retriever), Maximus (Pomeranian), and the infamous Mossy (The Bugle sounding, escapee Beagle)! [Less]
