Featured Decatur Hotels

Stay in our Holiday Inn Express® hotels in Decatur, Georgia, and explore the charms of this historic small town. Decatur may be part of the Atlanta metropolitan area, but it feels worlds away from the city's urban bustle.

Affordable eateries, casual cafes and shops line the town's main drag, Ponce de Leon Avenue, which spreads out from the historic town center just minutes away from our Decatur hotels. Unwind with a leisurely stroll around the center, anchored by the imposing Old Courthouse on the Square. Inside the 1898 granite courthouse, the DeKalb History Center has free rotating exhibits and a rich trove of Civil War artifacts. The center also maintains a Historic Complex of antebellum structures in nearby Adair Park. Two blocks north of the square and close to our hotels in Decatur, historic Decatur Cemetery sprawls over 54 acres of tree-shaded grounds. Local shops and the Decatur Downtown Development Office offer free walking-tour maps of the town's historic sights. Of course, if faster-paced Atlanta beckons, the MARTA subway departs from the town square to whisk you to downtown Atlanta in minutes.

Our hotels in Decatur put you close to restaurants along Ponce de Leon Avenue. There's no end to the cheap eats here-Raging Burrito is a great spot to snag a hearty meal to go, and at Brick Store Pub you can have a bowl of hearty Brunswick stew and raise a pint with its gregarious regulars. At night, rub shoulders with more locals at Eddie's Attic, an intimate venue featuring acoustic singer-songwriters. Decatur has plenty of shopping diversions along Ponce de Leon Avenue, including an impressive collection of used bookstores.

Stay at our Holiday Inn Express hotels in Decatur to experience Decatur's friendly, small-town ambience, just miles from the bright lights and big-city diversions of Atlanta.

Memorable Stay - Attentive Staff
By redbox
From check-in to check-out the stay for my daughter and me was wonderful. My Platinum Elite level was recognized and our room was on the Executive Level. The staff were very helpful from the valet to [More] the bell captain, front office staff, to the Executive Lounge personnel. The only negative was the concierge.....she seemed unaware of the new and highly recommended restaurants that I mentioned. The room was beautiful, the amenities were excellent, and a very good gym. Highly recommend this property and have already made reservations for my December visit to Atlanta. [Less]

This Holiday Inn is one that I frequent often. I am never disappointed with the rooms or the service from the staff. The restaurant inside, Burger Theory, is really tasty if you want a good Pub style [More] burger and brew without leaving the hotel. They even have TV's to watch the game while you eat. [Less]

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Currently updating the hotel, but it did not interfere with my schedule. Enjoyed the bar/lounge area in the lobby. The place is located well back off the roadway and is fronted with a commercial strip Mall that closes early. No Traffic or noise at night. Felt very safe and secure. It is Central to every place in [More] Duluth. [Less]

Good New Hotel - Food Just OK - Pool Closes Early
By C00000
Headline says it all. Nice hotel, with nice people in it. Comfy bed, with decent wifi. Really a good value for the price. The neighborhood isn't the best around it - though there is a Bahama [More] Breeze next door. The pool closes early (10 pm) which was a bummer since our kids wanted to play in it. Even if it stayed open an hour or so more that would've been great. Rooms were nice. Bathrooms a bit small and dated. Kcups were decent, and you get tons of TV channels Most I've ever seen offered in a room. Food was OK. You can tell they are trying to give a decent breakfast, but somehow it all ends up tasting like it is one big batch of preservatives. Staff at front desk just seemed to care less about the job. Again, they were nice, and nothing wrong with taking a laid back approach, but certainly didn't feel like we were anybody special checking in. [Less]
