The hotel I most recently stayed in stands out from the dozens of hotels in the surrounding area. There's a certain comfort that you feel with a chain hotel in an unfamiliar location, just because
you know that you can expect at least similar services. In this case, however, I want to note that this hotel is in (nearly) the middle of nowhere, Indiana, and was just as nice, clean, and friendly as the Holiday Inn that I stayed at while visiting NYC and in Chicago.
The room was clean and the staff was friendly. You can't ask for much else than that.
My only complaint is that the room was cold. It's December, and the heater/thermostat in the room was turned off. The chill was alleviated by turning on the heater, but it would have been nice if the staff had kept the room at a comfortable temperature. I'm sure the previous guest had turned it off, and this was just an oversight. But I had to think of something to complain about, so there it is. [Less]
